Staying informed on the future of infrastructure is an important part of planning for the opportunities and challenges ahead.

Members of the DM Civil leadership team attended the State Budget Infrastructure Breakfast hosted by Civil Contractors Federation WA.

The event provided valuable insights into the State Budget's impact on the civil construction industry, with presentations and panel discussions covering key priorities, investment and future infrastructure delivery across Western Australia.

Thank you to Civil Contractors Federation WA for delivering another informative and well-attended industry event.

Today we celebrate everything that makes Western Australia such a great place to live, work and call home. From our diverse communities and rich culture to the people and industries that help drive our state forward, WA Day is a chance to reflect on what makes our state unique.

As we celebrate 50 years in business, DM Civil is proud to be a Western Australian company that has grown alongside our state, helping deliver the infrastructure that connects communities and supports future growth.

For five decades, our success has been built on the dedication of our people, the support of our clients and the strength of the communities in which we work. Our WA heritage has shaped who we are, and we remain committed to contributing to the future of Western Australia for generations to come.

We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable WA Day as we celebrate the spirit, resilience and achievements of Western Australians.

Every year, DM Civil proudly supports Cancer Council Australia Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, a cause that resonates with many of our team members, as cancer has touched the lives of so many families, friends and colleagues.

To raise funds, our site crews participated in a $5 raffle while the main office hosted a $10 fundraising lunch. As part of the day, we also held our annual Inter-Office Bake Off Competition, with team members bringing along their best desserts in the hope of taking home the coveted Bake Off Trophy for the next 12 months.

Thanks to the generosity and support of our team, we raised close to $600 for this important cause.

A big thank you to everyone who purchased raffle tickets, donated food, baked desserts, helped organise the event and contributed to the lunch. Every donation makes a difference and helps support those impacted by cancer.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHT | Gossage Road Culvert 153 Progress

DM Civil is nearing completion on the Gossage Road Culvert 153 in the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale.

Having constructed the original concrete culvert structure some years ago to replace the ageing timber bridge, our team has now delivered a replica structure to help future proof the drain crossing during future flood events.

Our concrete division worked seamlessly alongside our civil crews to complete another quality asset safely, on schedule and on budget, despite an unseasonal washout early in construction.

Final railings and asphalt works are now being completed ahead of the forecast rain.

2026 WA Civil Construction Industry & Training Awards

The DM Civil team were proud to attend the 2026 Civil Contractors Federation WA Civil Construction Industry & Training Awards alongside more than 500 industry guests celebrating the people and businesses helping shape our sector.

We were honoured to have two team members nominated on the night.

Brendan Carroll, Senior Project Engineer on the Alkimos Pipeline Alliance, was recognised for his strong project delivery, procurement management and ability to support critical project outcomes across the Alliance.

Ryan McLardy was nominated for the CCF Site Supervisor of the Year Award for his leadership within DM Civil’s Trenchless Technology Division, overseeing complex tunnelling and horizontal boring works across critical infrastructure projects.

While we were not winners on the night, we are incredibly proud to see both Brendan and Ryan recognised for their contribution, leadership and commitment to the industry.

Congratulations to all nominees and award winners.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHT: Alkimos Pipeline Alliance Excavation Safety

As we continue production on the Alkimos Pipeline Alliance DN1600 Sintakote water pipeline, DM Civil remains focused on maintaining a workable construction corridor alongside safe and compliant working spaces within our trenches.

Sections of the alignment involving running sand conditions require carefully designed batters and benching, supported by constant monitoring from qualified and experienced excavation managers to ensure safe excavation practices are maintained throughout construction.

This ongoing attention to ground conditions, trench stability and site safety is critical in delivering major pipeline infrastructure efficiently and safely.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHT | APA DN1600 Sintakote Pipe

After several decades delivering trunk water main installations, DM Civil is recognised as a leader in pipeline construction across a range of materials, including MSCL.

One of our current projects involves the handling and installation of DN1600 Sintakote pipe supplied by Steel Mains, the largest diameter trunk water main installed within the Integrated Water Supply Scheme (IWSS).
