The role:

Our equipment cleaning crew makes the R9800 NDT clean look easy, but in reality, the R9800 is one of the most challenging assets to clean in the excavator class.
This is largely due to the machine’s enormous size and extensive surface area. Additionally, the Liebherr slew pinion lubrication system supplies grease during operation, which can lead to excessive buildup in the centre girder / Internals of the carbody if it isn’t cleaned correctly and frequently.
Other excavators typically have slew baths, where the grease is contained to lubricate the pinions, making them far easier to maintain.
