Chase Surface Engineering At Chase, we specialise in powertrain remanufacturing, using our expertise and advanced machining to restore components to OEM standards.

We focus on precision and reliability because, at Chase, getting it right the first time is what matters most. Marty Pratt, as the director of Chase Surface Engineering, I have first-hand experience in multiple levels of powertrain component overhaul. I have specialist skills in Caterpillar Applied Failure Analysis and fault finding. I also have OEM training in running a machine shop to achieve Caterpillar specifications and outcomes.

Did some work on a failed slew bearing from a R9800 machine last month. That’s a 10500KG bearing. A diameter of 4400mm it’s a critical part in these beast.
