SONIC Injection

SONIC Injection Manufacturer of Aftermarket, Performance Parts, Manifolds and EFI Parts

Following my recent announcement, I have received a number of messages regarding the future of the business.

While my intention is to continue operating outside of work hours, I am also open to expressions of interest from the right person who may be interested in taking over the business and continuing what has been built over the years.

This is not a decision I have made lightly, nor is it my preferred outcome. However, given my recent return to full-time employment and the resulting shift in focus, I am no longer confident that I can maintain the consistency of service that Sonic Injection deserves. With that in mind, I feel it is something I should consider.

To be completely honest, I have been finding it difficult to give my customers the time and attention they deserve. The possibility of letting people down is something I take very seriously, which is why I would only consider someone who values the customer base that has been built over the years and is committed to maintaining the level of service and support customers have come to expect.

If this opportunity may be of interest to you, please feel free to contact me via email or Messenger for a confidential discussion.

To all of my customers and supporters,

Due to the current economic climate and increasing financial pressures, I’ve made the difficult decision to return to full-time employment for the foreseeable future.

As a result, my business will now mainly operate outside normal business hours. I’ll still be doing what I can to help customers, but responses to calls and messages may be delayed.

I sincerely apologise if I’ve missed calls, taken longer to reply, or been harder to reach recently. Moving forward, I will not be able to answer phone calls during work hours, so the preferred contact methods will be via email, Messenger, or text message where possible. I will respond as soon as I can outside of work hours, or during my lunch break where possible.

This has not been an easy decision and has been looming for some months now. I truly appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding, and ongoing support during this transition.

I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported my business so far, and I look forward to continuing to provide services where I can outside of work hours.

Thank you again for your understanding and support.

Luke

For those that may have been following this, I have added pads suitably sized to machine for injectors.

Due to the size and length of runners, there is only room for 3 injectors.

Several people expressed interest in having this feature, hopefully this satisfies them.

Let me know what you think, i'm keen to continue on with the pattern.😎

There has been a bit going on in the background over the 'break'.

There are some new products coming soon, a couple that have gone live already.

I have also, finally got around to adding my Speedflow Stock to the website.

Casting pattern 3d model for the Holden Grey Weber intake is nearly finalised.

Stay tuned for some updates!

A couple of weeks ago I had this cool little job come to me.

It was a relatively straightforward "can you fix it"?

But it came with a cool story.

An engine builder local to me, helps out with the mechanical side of a 1986 Benetton B186 F1 car.

This is the shift detent spring retainer for the gearbox from it.

The old component was aluminium alloy for weight purposes and the replacement part I have made from 4140. It's a couple of grams heavier but I'm assured that vehicle weight isn't as important as it was in 1986

I dug a little deeper into the history of the car and found out that it is the car that Gerhard Berger raced in Adelaide in 1986 and that Gerhard himself will be in Adelaide for the Adelaide Supercar Grand final and will be driving the car for track demonstrations.

It's a privilege to have played a very small part in helping it hit the tarmac.

Recently I had Jimmy contact me to ask if I would consider making a true 12 port SU intake.

Coincidentally I had been thinking about dusting off the casting pattern that I inherited with the business, but had never cast...

Fast forward a few months, a couple of very minor pattern repairs, a few jigs and fixtures later and Jimmy gets his intake.

I did cast a second set at the time but it looks like they are already sold!

What do you think, should I cast more?

I have a couple of these left on the shelf ready to ship.

Everyone that was waiting has either been notified or purchased already.

Next batch will probably be January or February.

Here is the first of our NEW Cam Synchroniser kits.

I'd be interested in sending this out to a customer at a discounted price for testing purposes.

This one is for a Hemi 6, Holden 6 and more versions will follow immediately after testing.

This design utilises the fuel pump eccentric as its reference and has no moving parts.

It has been tested in a simulated situation and performed exactly as expected, but has yet to see time on an engine.

Whoever can offer me feedback from testing in the shortest timeframe gets it cheap.

In the coming months I will be rebuilding the pattern for the Holden Grey intake.

I have started on a rough 3d model of it.

I'd be interested to know if there are any suggestions for changes that could be worthwhile.

Let me know your thoughts.

Enjoy what's left of your weekend.🙂
