Testing innovation where it matters most 🌊🚁

Helitak has been testing our new HydroFill System, designed to provide a safer and more effective method of filling aerial firefighting tanks with salt water. By allowing the aircraft to collect water while moving forward across the water surface, the system helps reduce saltwater spray exposure to critical aircraft components while improving operational efficiency.

Similar to our tanks a key feature of the system is its integrated carbon fibre structure, delivering exceptional strength, stability, and reduced drag in both water and flight. Combined with the UH-60 Black Hawk and Helitak's firefighting tank technology, HydroFill expands the aircraft's ability to conduct saltwater aerial firefighting operations, providing enhanced support for the protection of coastal communities and critical infrastructure.

Some of the Helitak team attended the International Fire & Safety Expo 2026 in Korea in partnership with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI).

Invited by KAI, the team had the opportunity to present to exhibitors and visitors on the growing importance of advanced aerial firefighting solutions and the role Helitak Firefighting Equipment continues to play within the global aerial firefighting industry.

It was also fantastic to see the Helitak FT3000 firefighting tank prominently featured on the KAI stand, showcasing its integration with the KUH-1 Surion platform and highlighting the continued collaboration between Helitak and KAI in delivering enhanced aerial firefighting capability.
