Matt and Iefke from Matt and Iefke have spent years building Tarkine, a 40ft pilot cutter, from sustainably sourced Tasmanian timbers. The foredeck now carries a Muir bronze VRC2200 windlass.

Bronze and wooden boats go back centuries. Shipwrights turned to it for fastenings and deck hardware because it shrugs off seawater. On traditional working craft, bronze gear was trusted to handle heavy loads season after season, and it weathers to that deep patina you only get from years at sea.

Tarkine's VRC2200 carries that tradition forward, with modern engineering inside a material that belongs on a wooden foredeck.

We are strengthening warranty coverage across the recreational windlass range. from August every rec winch goes from 3 years to the improved 5 years limited warranty.

One more step in our commitment to crafting anchoring equipment that’s Built to Last.

For customers upgrading to the soon to be released SS316 INOX PRO motors, motor warranty coverage will increase increased to 3 years.
