We are strengthening warranty coverage across the recreational windlass range. from August every rec winch goes from 3 years to the improved 5 years limited warranty.

One more step in our commitment to crafting anchoring equipment that’s Built to Last.

For customers upgrading to the soon to be released SS316 INOX PRO motors, motor warranty coverage will increase increased to 3 years.

From Aug 1st we are strengthening warranty coverage across the recreational windlass range.

We've increased the standard topworks warranty on every Muir recreational windlass giving boat owners, dealers, and installers greater confidence from the moment of installation.

For customers upgrading to the soon to be released SS316 INOX PRO motors, motor warranty coverage will increase increased to 3 years.

Anchoring Tips 2: Your windlass is built to raise and lower your anchor not to hold it under load for hours on end.

Once you're set, fit a chain stopper (devil's claw) or snubber to take the strain. This transfers the load from your windlass gearbox and motor to your vessel's structure, protecting the internal components from shock loading as your boat surges at anchor.

It's a small habit that adds years to your windlass.
