Blacked out on the outside. Starlight headliner and full ambient on the inside. 🌌

Starlight running across the entire roof, front to third row, in multi-colour so it changes as it sits. Fibres go in behind the headliner, which means the whole liner comes down and goes back up. That's the job most shops won't take on.

Then ambient through the cabin: purple across the dash and door cards, red down into the footwells on both sides, plus lit floor mats. Warm below, cool above. Every colour deliberate.
Outside it's gloss black on black wheels with the DRL running. Nothing about this car reads as a standard family SUV anymore.

Mods every BRZ owner should have. 🔧

Auto-folding mirrors and ambient lighting, done back to back on this Subaru BRZ S. The mirror module gives you factory-style auto-fold on lock and unlock, no more clipping them in tight garage spots or car washes. Then the cabin gets wired for full ambient lighting, footwells, dash and doors all synced to one controller so the whole interior changes together. Both parts available through iilumo, both fitted in-house at our iilumolab workshop in Keysborough.

Whole cabin flowing through colour, and an STI badge glowing pink on the boot. 💗

Inside runs the full multi-zone setup: dash strip, door cards, centre console, footwells and pillars, each zone running its own colour so the cabin flows blue to purple to pink instead of sitting on one flat tone. Everything sits behind factory trim, following the shape of the dash and the console.
Out back the badge lights up too. Same colour control, same idea, just on the outside where people behind you can see it.

Close up you can see what makes these work: the light bars sit deep inside a darkened lens, so during the day the whole housing reads as one dark shape against the paint, and at night the red comes through sharp and layered instead of as one flat glow.
Stand back and the rear end changes completely. Same body, same wing, same diffuser. Different car.

Tail lights are the mod most people skip and the one everyone behind you actually sees.

Blue underglow, red ambient inside, DRLs across the front. Lit from every angle. 💙

Underbody strips running the length of the car in blue, throwing colour onto the ground under the sills and the front lip. Inside is red through the dash, doors, console and door handles, with the pedals and footwells glowing too. DRL bar in the front bumper on white. Three separate lighting jobs on one car, all controlled and all sitting where they should.

The trick with a build like this is picking colours that hold their own instead of fighting each other. Blue outside, red inside, white up front. Nothing muddy.

Ambient lighting install on a WRX. This is what the drive home looks like now. 🌙

Full RGB through the dash, doors, footwells and rear seats, all running off one controller so the whole cabin shifts colour together. Wiring sits behind the factory trim, so from the driver's seat you only see the light. The rear looks just as good with the sequential tails lit and the plate surround glowing. Best mod there is if most of your driving happens after 8pm.

Looks black until the light hits it. Then it goes purple. 🟣

Deep purple metallic on an A45, gloss black grille, carbon front lip sitting flush to the ground, multi-spokes over red calipers. Shot in a dark room with one light source, which is the only way to catch what this paint actually does.
Headlight doing the work here too. Sharp projector, clean output, one light pulling your eye across the whole front end.

White R33 GT-R sitting in the dark with everything lit. 🤍

Headlights, fogs, side markers all glowing, and on a 30 year old car that's rarer than it sounds. Original R33 lighting has usually gone yellow, gone dim, or gone out entirely by now. Getting it looking like this without ruining what makes the car special is the whole job: modern output, factory look, nothing that screams aftermarket.
RB26, four wheel drive, one of the most important cars Japan
ever built. These deserve to be kept properly, not modernised into something unrecognisable.
