From a concept sketch to a fabricated reality.

These transition pieces were designed to convert a rectangular fl**ge into a circular opening, with an offset geometry that required more than a standard roll or press.

To get it right, the duct bodies were manufactured in sections and formed using a precision bump bending process on our 135t CNC brake press. This allowed us to properly develop the corner geometry and achieve a smooth, controlled transition between profiles.

Each unit was then finished with a fabricated base and fl**ge detail, including drilling and fit-up to suit the required mounting arrangement.

A great example of taking something conceptual and turning it into a practical, install-ready outcome.

$𝟴𝟳𝟵 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻𝘀 𝗪𝗔 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀.

On Tuesday, Mech3D supported the 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗱 with an afternoon at the club to raise funds for local St John WA volunteers.

Blood pressure checks.
Meat tray raffles.
Handmade gifts.
Some exclusive Mech3D merchandise.
Resulting in an amazing $𝟴𝟳𝟵 raised.

But what happens behind the scenes at the Men's Shed is the real story.
This crew does not sit still.

They run a full Containers for Change operation - collecting, sorting, pressing, packing - and have put $𝟭𝟬𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬+ 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽𝘀.

They've built a wood workshop, a metal workshop, and are fitting out a shipping container to help store their gear.

But most importantly, they create space for people to connect, talk, build, and look out for each other.

This year, Melissa Warrener is stepping into the Treasurer role, becoming the Shed’s first female committee member and taking on financial governance and obligations to keep the organisation strong and sustainable.

It's been a privilege to watch this group grow over the years and epitomise the true meaning of mateship.

We are big believers that strong structures start with strong foundations - and the Green Head Men's Shed is one of them.

Huge respect to all those involved. Mech3D is proud to stand alongside you.

💜 Tony’s wife, Carlene, is again walking throughout September to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer.

It’s a cause close to home for our team, and one that doesn’t always get the attention it deserves. But the stats are hard to ignore:
• Pancreatic Cancer is the 8th most common cancer in Australia
• In 2024, it is estimated 4,641 people were diagnosed and 3,902 lives lost
• The 5-year survival rate is just 13%, placing pancreatic cancer as the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia

These numbers are unacceptable. We’re backing Pankind's mission to triple survival rates by 2030 and improve the lives of people impacted by pancreatic cancer.
