We’re Hiring: Sales Representative (Sydney)
Sydney, NSW | Full-time | Hybrid/On-site

We’re looking for a motivated Sales Representative to join our growing team and help drive new business and revenue growth.

What you’ll do:
• Identify and convert new sales opportunities
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Present and promote products/services to prospects
• Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity

What we’re looking for:
• Ideally you would have some abrasive blasting experience/knowledge but not essential
• Tradesperson wanting to transition off the tools welcome to apply
• People from aligning industries such as air compressor, paint supplies, etc welcome to apply
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated with a strong drive to succeed
• Previous sales or customer-facing experience (preferred, not essential)
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with a competitive mindset

Happy 36th Birthday to ABSS!
I came across these old photos of our three founders ,Larry Brockman, Lyle Besanko, and Jack Grubb.
All three were made redundant on the same day when Godfrey Blast decided to downsize and focus only on pneumatic conveying. Rather than giving up, they took a bold step and ABSS was born.
Lyle drew the very first design on his kitchen table (we still have that original drawing today), and the rest, as they say, is history.
Over the years, many great people have been part of the ABSS story , helping us grow, innovate, and keep Australian manufacturing strong.
So, here’s to Larry, Jack, and Lyle to getting made redundant! Sometimes, the best beginnings come from unexpected endings.
