Growing our future workforce, one apprentice at a time 🔧

Over the past few weeks, we ran two assessment centres across Perth and Kalgoorlie, bringing together 58 candidates all keen to kickstart their careers with MLG.

From practical tasks to team activities, our Development Department got to see these candidates in action and the talent on display was outstanding.

We're excited to share that 10 apprentices have now been selected to join the MLG team, commencing in January 2027.

A huge thank you to everyone who applied and took part. Watching our people grow and develop their skills is what it's all about, and we can't wait to see this next intake thrive.

Keep an eye out for our next apprentice intake, this could be the start of your career with MLG.

There's a lot to celebrate for our team at MLG lately, and we wanted to share some of it.

A number of our people are reaching big service milestones this year, with several hitting up to 13 years with the company. That kind of loyalty is rare, and it says a lot about the strength of our team.

We're also celebrating those who recently completed the NTI program and earned their certification. Well earned, and a credit to their dedication.

And to everyone who shows up every day and just does the job right, helping where needed and keeping things running smoothly on site: we see you too. That's what holds a team together.

Exploring what’s next in mining

What does a career in mining actually look like? That was the focus of the Newmont Corporation Tanami Recruitment Drive in Mparntwe (Alice Springs), where MLG joined other industry employers to connect with local job seekers and talk about opportunities in the resources sector.

From apprenticeships and entry-level roles through to training and development pathways, the day gave attendees the chance to ask questions, meet people working in the industry and get a better understanding of where their skills and interests could take them.

For MLG, it was a great chance to have conversations with the local community and showcase the range of careers available across our operations.

Thanks to Newmont and Saltbush Social Enterprises for creating an opportunity to connect industry with people looking to take their next step.

Operations are underway at Pioneer Dome.

MLG is now on the ground and delivering at DEVELOP Global’s Pioneer Dome Lithium Project in the Eastern Goldfields.

Following MLG being awarded the ~$70 million integrated mining and crushing contract, our team has commenced initial mining and civil works at the Cade Pit, marking an important early milestone in the project.

These first photos from site showcase MLG’s integrated service model in action — bringing together our people, equipment and operational capability to support the safe and efficient delivery of the project.

A strong start by everyone involved, and we look forward to continuing to work closely with Develop Global Limited as activities ramp up on site.
