There was a ‘once in a 5 year storm’,
wind, swell and rain battering our town.
Branches felled, items flying,
the ocean churned into a dirty brown.
The storm passed by so up I got,
there is equipment to be checked.
Our temporary fencing and hire toilets,
how many have just been wrecked???
Pleasantly surprised,
they’re still standing tall and well.
Our equipment held off the big bad storm,
as it did with Cyclone Narelle.
So next big storm if you need a bunker,
Just hire a porta-loo.
Sit inside and take solace in the fact,
that you’re safe while you do a poo.
