⚙️ The team behind our service partnerships
Behind every service contract at Focus Industrial is our expert team who understands your machines and your site. Meet Isaac and Phoenix from our service partnerships team.

Isaac started in our warehouse operations and has since moved into service partnerships. Having serviced machines himself, he knows the parts, the brands and the compressed air industry well, applying that knowledge when quoting service plans that fit your machines and operational use.

Phoenix joined us after starting his career as an electrician on the tools, then moving into marketing and business development. He’s been on the job site himself, so he understands the pressure of keeping equipment running. Phoenix is often the first person you’ll speak to, so you can expect a straight conversation about what your site needs.

Together, they ensure your compressed air equipment is backed by the right service plan. Ready to talk service for your compressors? Get in touch with Isaac or Phoenix: https://www.focusindustrial.com.au/contact-us/

⚠️ Timber joineries: moisture in your compressed air line can void your CNC or edgebander warranty.

Most workshops don’t find out until a warranty claim gets rejected. CNCs, edgebanders, panel saws, thicknessers, and belt sanders all rely on clean, dry air to operate. When that air carries moisture, it can cause mechanical damage and increase warranty risk.

The fix: a quality refrigerated air dryer paired with pre- and post-filtration. That combination is the standard specification for any joinery workshop and the difference between a protected machine and an expensive problem.

If your current setup doesn’t include a dryer and filtration, reach out to protect your machinery.

If you rent a workshop, poly piping probably makes sense.
If you own your workshop, we highly recommend aluminium or stainless steel piping.

Poly & Renting:
It’s faster to install, easier to remove, and the cost of relocating is far lower than with metal alternatives.

Metal & Owning:
If you own your facility, the calculation changes completely. Metal piping becomes more cost-effective at larger diameters, achieves better airflow, and with stainless steel you get a 35-year leak-free guarantee.

The right piping choice depends heavily on where your business is headed, not just where it is today.

Is your air compressor ready for 30°C days? 🌡️
Hot weather is one of the most common causes of compressor breakdowns we see. Even well-serviced machines can trip on a hot afternoon.

What can happen:
- Hotter air means less air delivered
- More moisture puts strain on dryers and drains
- Oil breaks down faster in the heat

The good news is most of these issues can be caught and prevented early.
We’ve put together a simple hot weather checklist your team can run through in minutes.

If you're operating a fibre laser in your workshop, high-pressure air is probably your top priority. But have you thought about filtration?

Trace amounts of oil in your compressed air stream can coat your focusing lens, slowly degrading cut quality and shortening lens life.

A three-stage filtration system with the final essential carbon stage is non-negotiable for laser cutting. It's a detail most standard compressor packages leave out.

We specialise in compressed air systems for fibre laser cutting. Our team knows the nuances, so when we assess your setup, the details you didn't know to ask about are already accounted for.

Did you know poly piping requires 3 to 4 times more bracketing than aluminium or stainless steel?

It also needs expansion joints on longer runs due to thermal expansion, and in Australian conditions, 100 metres of poly close to a metal roof can stretch to 101 metres on a hot day.

That is not a reason to avoid poly, but it is a reason to understand when it makes sense and when it does not, specific to every workshop.
