It’s cold out, 🥶 but steel still holds strong. There’s a myth that steel frames perform poorly in cold temps, so let’s talk about it.

🔹Like all metals, steel does have a higher thermal conductivity, BUT, like any home build, with correct insulation installation, and other thermal break methods, it’s not an issue.

🔹Steel won’t swell, shrink, or warp with moisture or temperature changes. That means no creaking, no cracking, and straighter walls for life. Because of this steel frames allow for tighter seals around windows and doors, keeping the warmth in and the draughts out.
