Congratulations to our 4th Year apprentice, Tom Greaves, on being awarded one of only 16 Global Footprint Scholarships.

Tom Will travel overseas for an industry work placement, gaining hands-on experience with some of the latest equipment and techniques in the trade. The Knowledge he brings home will help Baxter Engineering keep pace with new developments and continue delivering qualtiy work to our customers.

A big congratulations to our apprentice, Jonathan Davies, who recently represented Baxter Engineering in the WorldSkills Australia Regional Turning Competition Tafe NSW Wagga.

Competing at this level is a fantastic achievement and reflects the hard work, skill and dedication that Jono brings to the job every day.

We’re extremely proud to have him as part of the Baxter Engineering team and look forward to seeing his skills continue to develop.

A big congratulations to our 3rd year fitting and machining apprentice Tom Greaves.

Tom has just returned from competing at the Australian WorldSkills National Championships held in Brisbane.

It was such a close competition with 15 of the best machining apprentices from all over Australia battling it out over 3 days of competition.

We are very proud to share that Tom received a Medallion of Excellence for the manual lathe turning category.

The WorldSkills Medallion for Excellence is only awarded to competitors who demonstrate an exceptional level of skill and achieve a very high score in their respective skill categories.

Well done Tom!
