Tony wanted a reliable towing setup that would get the most out of his Kakadu Prado while pulling his van around Australia.

After discussing his goals, we put together a package featuring a Gturbo G250, PDI Front Mount Intercooler, PDI Transmission Cooler, and an MM4x4 Lock-Up Kit.

📊 As it arrived:
85kW & 291Nm at the wheels

📈 After the upgrades and GTune calibration:
144kW & 470Nm at the wheels

The difference was night and day. What was once smooth but underwhelming on the accelerator is now a serious towing machine that pulls like a freight train, with the power and torque exactly where you need it.

This tough build rolled into the workshop ready for the full Warrior Package.
We started by establishing a baseline before fitting a serious list of upgrades, including a Gturbo G400 Titanium, Gturbo Power Pipe, Gturbo Pro100 Injectors, and Gturbo Fan Kit. Combined with the already fitted Fatz Airbox & Snorkel, 1600Nm Clutch, and Turbo-Back Exhaust, this 79 was set up for big results.
📊 Before:
129kW & 523Nm at the 37” wheels
📈 After:
268kW & a massive 984Nm at the 37” wheels
Once everything was installed, we worked through the Gturbo GTune Multimap calibration, dialling in the perfect balance of power, drivability, and reliability. Running on Map 4, the results speak for themselves.
This 79 now performs every bit as tough as it looks.
