The Supashock concept was born in 2006, when Oscar Fiorinotto embarked upon the challenge of creating the highest force response and most thermally stable suspension system. Oscar has over 25 years of experience in Vehicle Dynamics Analysis and Design, and is regarded as one of Australia's most knowledgeable and innovative vehicle dynamics engineers. Infrastructure consists of a dedicated vehicle
and suspension design wing, damper test and assembly area, machine shop, suspension test and R&D facility with a full vehicle workshop. The Design Office is equipped with the latest CAD Workstations and CAD/CAM software. The fundamental role of a shock absorber is to absorb and damp vibrational energy in the springs, which is why technically they are referred to as vibration dampers. Vibration dampers convert kinetic energy into thermal energy through fluid friction. This involves the flow of oil being slowed down by valve passages inside the damper. This is typically coupled with an active natural frequency control system to enable continuous control over the suspension system in order to improve vehicle ride quality and stability to primarily enhance operator / passenger safety. The specialised engineering consulting services, design and manufacture of specialist products as well as OEM product supply can readily be applied to other industries. The Supashock Engineering Team uses the latest software to simulate vehicle dynamics and on track performance. Simulating vehicle dynamics, kinematics, aerodynamics, tyre-wear, expected lap times and much more.
