One year ago today, Tasmania celebrated the opening of the new Bridgewater Bridge — the largest transport infrastructure project ever undertaken in the state’s history.

Looking back, it’s incredible to think that our team at Liverpool Engineering Works played a part in bringing this landmark project to life.

We are incredibly proud and privileged to have contributed to a project that will serve Tasmanians for generations to come. Opportunities to be involved in projects of this scale don’t come along often, and it is something our team will always look back on with pride.

After months of hard work, we’ve officially farewelled Barge “Courage” as she leaves Tassie and begins her journey to her next project in South Australia.

Another proud send-off.

Today we farewelled the final Barge - “Trust” as she begins her journey. Next stop - South Australia.

For the past 4 months, we’ve had the privilege of working on something pretty special behind the scenes.

Today, we stood back and watched her—Courage—make her journey, guided by a tug beneath the iconic Tasman Bridge, as she set sail for South Australia, but not before a stop over in Burnie.

There’s a quiet pride in moments like this. Seeing a project go from the workshop floor to the water… and then out into the world.

A big effort from the team at Liverpool Engineering Works to get this Barge to her new home.
