We celebrated International Women in Engineering Day twice this year. Firstly by attending the Engineers Australia Hobart Luncheon on Friday, then by having a High Tea in the office on Monday. At the luncheon we got to listen to some very inspiring women in our field, and meet a lovely group of up and coming Engineers studying at UTAS. It's great to see the number of women in STEM continuing to increase.

We are stoked to announce the final numbers from our FightMND Big Freeze Fundraiser.
We raised $1555 to help fund research to improve the quality of life for people with MND.
Because we hit such an incredible figure, we managed to rope in a couple of extra people to join Dan in getting drenched.
Our partners in crime, Ronald Young & Co Builders also managed to raise a staggering $3064!
Thanks to everyone who donated, took a bucket of icy water, or participated in organising the fun event.

An afternoon well spent at the Ronald Young and Co office. The original plan was just to have Dan drenched in 8 buckets of icy water, but Mark and Sarah were roped in, and another $700 was raised! Thank you to everyone who donated.

We love the opportunity to see our completed projects in real life!
Late last year we were lucky enough to have a walkthrough of the brand new Glenorchy Ambulance Station, designed by Morrison & Breytenbach Architects - Hobart, Tasmania, built by Hansen Yuncken, and obviously, engineered by us. Thanks Ambulance Tasmania for letting us have a sneak peek.

We’re really proud to have teamed up with JAWSArchitects on the brand-new Youth2Independence (Y2I) facility in Burnie. It’s great to be part of something that’s making a difference for the youth of Tasmania.

Here's a first look at the new 26-unit youth housing facility in Burnie!

Just like the facilities in Devonport, Launceston and Hobart, it will help 16-24 year olds who need a little bit of extra help to get back on their feet, and transition to independent living. A great thing!

And a big well done to Stubbs Constructions Pty Ltd for their work on this $14m facility 👍👍

This guy has put his hand up to get REALLY cold for a very worthy cause. But only if we raise enough money. We haven't set a date yet, but it's very likely to be in winter, and there will definitely be a follow up post with video proof. Any donations, big or small, to help us reach our goal and ultimately see us tip a bucket (or many buckets) of ice cold water over Gardo would be greatly appreciated.
