We’re officially JOSCAR-AU registered! ✅

KETO Pump Technology Services has completed the JOSCAR-AU registration process, and our company information is now published for Raytheon Australia and other buying organisations in the JOSCAR community.

JOSCAR means suppliers complete one detailed questionnaire instead of repeating due diligence for every customer. Getting there took a lot of work, and we’re proud of the team that got it done.

For our customers, it means a simpler, faster path to onboarding KETO, backed by a verified supplier profile.

Thank you to Hellios and the JOSCAR buying organisations for the process, and to everyone at KETO who helped. We look forward to supporting more projects across defence, industry and resources.

How to build a mechanical seal, step by step.

In this video, the KETO Pumps team walks through a full seal build, including why each step matters:

Restrictor bush: reduces water usage and raises the pressure inside the seal above the pump's wet end.
Temporary lubricant (e.g. P80): keeps the rubber components from slipping in operation. A permanent lubricant like silicone grease can let the rubber bellows slip, build up friction heat and burn the rubber, which leads to seal failure.
Clean seal faces: dirt or contamination stops the fluid film barrier from forming properly, and the seal won't seal.
Flow control valve: limits the amount of water to the seal and prevents excessive wastage.

Another valve restoration completed at KETO Pumps - and a good example of the extra value we bring to our clients.

This butterfly valve arrived with significant corrosion on the fl**ge face, a badly worn stem, and heavy internal fouling - the kind of wear that typically ends in a full replacement. Rather than turning it away, our team took on the variation: stripping it back, machining and fitting a new stem, resurfacing the fl**ge, and recoating the housing - restoring it to full working condition at a fraction of the cost and lead time of a new unit.
