Today we celebrate all the incredible mums, grandmothers, step mums, mother figures and women who keep everything moving -both at work and at home.

In the rail industry, we know the sacrifices families make. Long shifts, night work and time away from home can be tough, and behind so many of our crew is a strong woman (or man) holding it all together at home.

To the mums working on the tools, in the office, behind the scenes, and the mums supporting their families while loved ones work away - THANK YOU. Your strength, patience and hard work never go unnoticed.

On this ANZAC Day, we honour the courage, sacrifice and resilience of the men and women who have served, and continue to serve, our country.

At Corfad, we recognise the values that ANZAC Day represents - mateship, commitment, and looking out for one another. These values are deeply embedded in our crews, both on and off the tracks.

We take a moment to reflect, to remember those who gave everything, and to acknowledge the families who stand behind them.

Today is Rail R U OK? Day, a reminder that in our industry, looking out for each other goes beyond the job itself.

Rail can be tough. Long hours, working away from home, physical demands, and the pressure to get the job done safely and on time. It’s easy to focus on the work and forget to check in on the people beside us.

At Corfad, we know our greatest asset isn’t the plant or the projects - it’s our people.

Today, we encourage everyone across the rail network to take a moment to ask a simple question:
“Are you OK?”

It doesn’t need to be a big conversation. A quick check-in, a genuine chat over smoko, or a message to a mate can make a real difference.

And if someone opens up - listen. No judgement, no fixing - just be there.

We also want to acknowledge the families and partners at home who support our crews while they’re away. You’re part of this industry too, and your support doesn’t go unnoticed.

Let’s keep looking out for each other - not just today, but every day.
