These are a recycled mix from The Brick Pit® (Est.1975) in Sydney, with an off-white sand mortar and a raked finish.
Recycled bricks offer the durability and low-maintenance of brick but without the higher carbon footprint of new (plus we love the character of the recycled mix.)
Be wary that while recycled bricks are very cost competitive to supply, they will cost a bit more to lay as they are solid and therefore heavy (not extruded like a new brick with holes in it) and if you want a raked finish like this, it’s quite fiddly on recycled bricks so that adds again to the labour cost.
