Not one. But two. 🇦🇺➡️🇳🇿
Our first two New Zealand-bound Vacvators are just about ready.

The HD 8-90 NDD and Metro 6-76 NDD-DRY are now going through final testing and commissioning at our Goulburn facility an important part of our quality control process before every Vacvator leaves the factory.

As we celebrate 20 years of Australian manufacturing, seeing these two vac trucks nearing completion marks an exciting new chapter for Vacvator as we expand into New Zealand.

It’s a step also highlighted in the recent Trenchless Australasia Staying Power feature, which looks at where Vacvator has come from and where we’re heading next.

Different operators. Same vac truck. Same result.

One of the things business owners value most is being able to put someone new to operate the vac truck without the controls being a headache.

Crews change.
Operators rotate.
New people come on board.

Vacvator’s integrated CAN bus system is designed to keep operation straightforward, with an intuitive interface and controls that are easy for operators to understand.

That can mean:
👷 Easier operator handovers
⏱️ Less time spent getting familiar with the vac truck
🔧 Fewer avoidable operating errors
🚛 More consistency across the crew

Because good equipment shouldn’t rely on one person knowing how it works.
It should be a vac truck your whole crew can confidently operate.

The finishing touches are underway. 👏

We’re excited to be reaching the final stages of our facility expansion here in Goulburn, NSW.

Work has commenced on sealing our yard, with the team from R Con Civil here in force getting the job underway.

It might seem like a simple change, but it will make a big difference to our day-to-day operations.

Hello to a cleaner, safer and a more professional yard for our team, trucks and visitors.

It’s another important step in the continued investment in our Australian manufacturing facility and we’re looking forward to seeing the finished result.

A big thanks to the team at RCON Civil for delivering this final stage of the project.

We’re proud to be featured in this month’s Trenchless Australasia magazine in an article looking at where Vacvator has come from and where we’re heading next.

From our beginnings in 2006 to today designing and manufacturing vacuum excavation equipment from our expanded facility in Goulburn, NSW, a lot has changed.

But the fundamentals haven’t.

Build equipment that is practical to operate, reliable in the field and designed to keep earning over the long term.

The feature covers some of the developments shaping the next chapter for Vacvator, including:
* The HD 8-90 NDD and its focus on legal payload and productivity
* CAN Bus technology, diagnostics and operator simplicity
* Vacvator’s expansion into New Zealand
* Continued investment in our Australian manufacturing facility
* Our focus on reliability, service life and Total Cost of Ownership

And 20 years on, there’s something we’re particularly proud of.
Vacvator trucks built well over a decade ago are still out there working today.

That staying power is a big part of what we mean when we talk about building equipment to keep earning over the long term.

A big thank you to Trenchless Australasia for sharing the Vacvator story.

Getting the next generation hands-on with trades. 🔧

Today we attended the Interactive Careers Expo at Mulwaree High School, with our fitter mechanic apprentice Sam joining us to talk with students about careers in manufacturing and the trades.

💡Our interactive light board gave students the chance to get involved, test their skills and have a bit of fun while learning more about the type of hands-on work that goes into a trade career.

It was a great opportunity to talk with students about apprenticeships, work experience and where a trade can take them.

For local students interested in getting some hands-on experience at Vacvator, work experience opportunities are available.

Speak with your school Careers Advisor about organising work experience and seeing whether a trade could be the right path for you.

A big thank you to the RIEP organisers and Mulwaree High School for putting together such a great event and giving local students the opportunity to explore different career pathways.

This Metro 6-76 NDD-DRY has now been delivered to its new owners in Western Australia and it is the first Vacvator to carry our special 20-year anniversary badge.

Throughout our anniversary year, every new Vacvator unit delivered will proudly wear this badge, marking two decades of designing and manufacturing vacuum excavation equipment in Goulburn, NSW.

It is a small badge that represents something much bigger:
🇦🇺 20 years of Australian manufacturing.
🔧 20 years of building equipment made to last.
🤝 20 years of customers, suppliers and team members supporting the journey.
🚛 20 years of Vacvator trucks heading out to work across Australia.

We are incredibly proud to reach this milestone and proud that this anniversary badge will travel with every Vacvator delivered during our 20th year.

Twenty years of Australian manufacturing.
Built to Earn.

Throwback to where it all began ✨
In 2006, Vacvator built its first vacuum excavation truck in Goulburn, NSW.

It was originally built for UEA, practical equipment designed by people who understood the utilities industry and needed a vac truck that was built to last, easy to operate and easy to maintain.

What began as a solution for our own operation became the foundation of Vacvator.

▪️Twenty years later, the vac trucks have evolved.
▪️The technology has advanced.
▪️The workshop and team have grown.

But the thinking behind every build remains the same:
✔ Build practical equipment.
✔ Support the people operating it.
✔ Keep improving.

This is where the Vacvator story started & now celebrating 20 years of Australian manufacturing.

Built to Earn since 2006. 🇦🇺

Ten years on—and still earning 💪

This Vacvator recently returned to our Goulburn workshop for a minor repair before heading back to work with Steve from Directional Drilling Australia.

Built in 2016 the truck has spent the past decade working and remains an active part of the customer’s operation.

After a decade of hard work, this Vacvator only needed a new inlet pipe before heading straight back to work.

Our support does not stop when a Vacvator leaves the factory. We continue to supply the parts, repairs and practical support needed to keep our trucks earning for the long haul.

This is what Built to Earn looks like.
