Headbail #661 - Does your headbail have one of these?

Every crush/headbail in the 1980's and most of the 1990's had a serial number.

And off to the local butcher we go!

For most 22 year olds, running a 1,000+ head cattle farm would be quite a daunting experience!

Young Ben Duddy takes it all in his stride.

Originally from cattle country outside of Tamworth, Ben has pulled up stumps and moved to King Island to drought-proof his family operation.

He says King Island is just about the best place to produce beef cattle in the nation.

We couldn’t agree more on one thing.

It’s more important than ever to back Tasmanian beef producers and the local butchers they supply.

And while family budgets are tight, the feedback we’ve had is that Tasmanians are voting with their feet to buy local and support our farmers.

I think that's something pretty special that's very much worth recognising.

So a big well done to young Ben for getting stuck in on King Island, and all the best for your expansion plans.

The more Tassie beef, the better! 💪
