This week saw us do a road trip to Sydney to carry out a service on mains, gearboxes and genset in this clean Sunseeker.
Loaded up the car with parts and oils on Wednesday and drove down to Rose Bay Marina
Oils and filters
Primary and secondary fuel filters
Air filters
Valve adjustments
Gearbox oils and filters
Impelles
Generator oils, filters, fuel filters, impeller, anode and drive belt

We often follow our customers boats to offer better continuity of service which also acts as a record of service

Been a couple of years since we’ve been down to Sydney for work and a lot more years since I’ve worked at Rose Bay Marina, so much has changed

It’s been a massive week
These 2 V8-900s ready to be installed after some extensive work
Lift engines from boats
Separate engines from gearboxes
Remove flywheel housings to reseal
Full cooling system service
Full engine and transmission service
Reseal input/output shafts on gearbox
All reassembled
Crane booked for Monday morning so we can start the install

We are searching for a 3rd or 4th year apprentice or qualified diesel mechanic to join our team
Diesel experience preferred
An interest in marine and boating would be ideal
Looking for someone with A good work ethic that doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty and doing a bit of hard work

A few of the things we’ve been up to lately
It’s been a crazy busy few months
Engine rebuilds, heat exchanger services, engine services, pre purchase inspections, commissionings etc is all part of what we do

How good is the Marine Parks, Norman R. Wright & Sons built Reef Resilience looking
Now 4 years old, over 4000 hours on the V12 MAN Marine engines
We were part of the initial sea trials and commissioning with Seapower Australia Pty Ltd and still assist in keeping them out on water

What a week it was, last Sunday saw us do the road to trip to Airlie beach for several jobs
Swapped out fuel pumps and sea trials
Carried out a head bolt retension, valve adjustments and service followed by sea trials
Full MAN V12 engine service and Genet service on a 64 Riviera
Half day trip to Hamilton island to diagnoe and replace faulty temp senders
Caught up with a few friends and customers and did a few check overs to ensure all going well fo them
Then down to Mackay to carry out another MAN V12 Engine and generator service on a 78 Riviera before heading back home
Overall approx 2600kms traveled
Over 600 litres of oil used and multiple filters changed
Keeping our customers supported where ever their vessel may be
