Jenmick Gear Cutting & Engineering Pty Ltd operates from a modern, well equipped facility, centrally located in the busy industrial area of Gladstone, Queensland, Australia. Established in 1999 by Clifton and Sandra Dimitrov, Jenmick is a machining workshop, which has the capacity to carry out very precise and complex machining operations on our CNC equipment. From its earlier days, Jenmick has built an Australia wide reputation for the quality of its gears. We have since expanded our services to also include general engineering. As a family-owned and operated business, our customers know that they will receive friendly, personalised service each and every time they contact us. Are you a skilled machinist looking for your next opportunity? We’re expanding our team and seeking experienced CNC Lathe Machinists and Manual Lathe Machinists to join our growing operation.

About the Role:
You’ll be working in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment producing high-quality components across a range of industries. We value craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency.

CNC Lathe Machinist Responsibilities:

Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes
Interpret technical drawings and specifications
Perform tool changes, offsets, and basic troubleshooting
Ensure parts meet quality standards and tolerances

Manual Lathe Machinist Responsibilities:

Operate conventional/manual lathes
Read and interpret engineering drawings
Perform precision measurements and adjustments
Maintain high-quality workmanship on custom and small-batch jobs

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in CNC and/or manual machining
Strong understanding of machining principles and tooling
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented mindset

What a year! Today, we celebrated milestones but also some goodbyes. Thank you to Jayme, who has been at the core of Jenmick for the past 11 years. Without her hard work and dedication, Jenmick would not be the same, and we wish her all the best on her new life in Yeppoon. We would also like to congratulate Miguel on his 10 year service and look forward to another 10 years. We would like to thank you for your hard work and dedication!
