We use these polymer-based lids, so you don’t have to worry about earthing like you do with the metal ones.

And with the tile insert, it just flows straight through with the coping and surrounding tiles once it’s in.

Collaroy, just moments from the ocean.

With water views beyond the property, the goal for this renovation was to create a space that felt calm, open and connected to the coastline.

Soft curves, light natural stone, and clean lines were chosen to reflect the coastal setting, while the custom screening from adds privacy without blocking the morning light or ocean outlook.

As the sun rises over the water, the screening casts beautiful shadows across the pool and spa, one of those details that makes the whole space feel considered.

It’s hard to believe this is the same backyard.

When we first arrived in Wheeler Heights, the pool had seen better days.

Sandstone lifting everywhere.
An old painted epoxy interior peeling away.
Years of wear starting to show in every corner.

But underneath all of that was potential.

Fast forward to today , the pool has become the centrepiece of the whole property. It’s the first thing you notice when you step outside and something the family can truly enjoy again.

Projects like this remind us why we love what we do. Seeing a space come back to life, and knowing how happy the owners are with the result, is what makes all the effort worth it.

When we first inspected the pool the spa system wasn’t working properly, the mosaics were delaminating, some of the surrounding stone was failing and the area lacked privacy.

A big part of the renovation involved rebuilding the spa plumbing and upgrading the equipment.

We also installed a custom blend Beadcrete interior finish, along with:

✔️ Fully tiled spa
✔️ Mosaic waterline
✔️ Custom curved coping
✔️ Frameless glass fencing
✔️ Spa wall cladding
✔️ Aluminium batten privacy screen

Now it feels like a completely different backyard.

This is the part no one sees.

Steel. Pressure testing. Plumbing alterations. Falls. Prep work.

It’s not the exciting stage of a pool renovation, but it’s the stage that determines whether the project lasts 2 years or 20.

You can’t shortcut this.
You can’t rush it.
And once it’s covered up, you don’t get a second chance.

This is where good projects are separated from bad ones.

This one was all about getting the structure right first. Once that was locked in, everything else could follow the way it should.

What we started with vs. what we created.

An overdue, overgrown property transformed into a light-filled, open space.

By opening up the layout, connecting the home to the backyard, and modernising every corner, this renovation completely changed how the space feels and functions.
