An employee. A hard worker. A mate to everyone. A good friend. A mentor. A leader. A legend.

There are so many wonderful words to describe Pete, it’s difficult to put into words just how much he meant to all of us. Pete had a personality that was simply infectious. His loyalty was something everyone should strive for, his passion for the automotive industry was something he passed on to everyone around him, and his positive attitude towards life was second to none.

Throughout his career, Pete crossed paths with so many people, and there is no doubt he left a lasting impression on each and every one of them. He was an inspiration, not only because of his incredible knowledge and experience, but because of the person he was.

Pete was a natural leader. He led by example, with loyalty, integrity and an incredible work ethic. He was someone people respected, trusted and looked to for guidance. He never needed a title to be a leader, it was simply part of who he was. He generously shared his knowledge and experience, always willing to guide, encourage and mentor those around him. So many of us are better at what we do because of Pete.

Pete genuinely loved his job. He thrived on giving his customers the very best service he possibly could. He took enormous pride in what he did, and that pride and passion rubbed off on everyone fortunate to work alongside him.

But as his workmates, we all knew there was something Pete loved far more than his job, his family.

His soulmate, Suzie. His three boys, Steven, Michael and Tim, whom he absolutely adored, their partners, and of course his precious grandbabies. Pete’s love and pride for his family was always clear whenever he spoke about them.

Today, we haven’t just lost a valued employee. We have lost a mate, a mentor, a leader and a very special part of our work family.

There will always be a place here for Pete. His knowledge, his stories, his laugh, his friendship, his leadership and the impact he had on all of us will remain long after today.

Rest easy, Pete. A true gentleman, a great leader and an absolute legend. You will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
