We are currently looking for a fully qualified and experienced Automotive Technician to join our fast-paced workshop in Ferntree Gully. Experience is essential – we're after someone who can hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
🔧 About the Role:
• Carry out diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles
• Use your skills to diagnose, identify faults and recommend effective solutions
• Work efficiently to meet daily targets while maintaining high standards
• Maintain a safe and tidy workshop
• Strong customer service skills
• Assist in mentoring of apprentices
✅ What We’re Looking For:
• Minimum 6 years’ experience as a qualified technician
• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
• Excellent diagnostic and mechanical skills
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Reliable, honest and punctual team player with a positive attitude
• Current and valid driver’s license

Ferntree Gully Auto Electrical & Battery Centre was originally established in 1954, by Bob Suffern. The business was situated where Repco is now on Burwood Hwy.
Bob Hall was the second owner and moved the business to Fitzgerald St in the 1980s and Joe took over in 1999 after completing his apprenticeship with Bob Hall and finally moved to our current location.

Over the Past 70 years we have built and maintained a reputation for honesty, quality workmanship, and friendly customer service, and we believe that is the secret to our longevity.

We are proud to boast several multi-generational customer families; kids who originally came to our workshop in a baby seat are now bringing us their own vehicles. If that’s not an indicator of quality, we don’t know what is!
