A bit of site work this week! A small hay plant had a break down, their eject snub had fundamentally failed and needed urgent attention. By the way this is not a press built by Schutz Industries. A decision was made to cut all the previous patch up work off and start from scratch! In hindsight that decision was the right choice, the repair is much more robust than the previous fix and aesthetically pleasing. The best bit is it will prolong the longevity of this old dinosaur!

Received a few castings last week from the port.👌
All part of our growing spare parts inventory for ongoing support to our existing customers (and new ones!) since they take around 8 months from time of order to arrive on our shores. Over the last 15 years these parts have undergone many revisions, so back in 2016 we decided the only way get them to last was to have them cast out of a high tensile alloy steel. No cracks/failures since 🤞
They are lift table toggles BTW, a critical mechanical part in our 725t export hay presses.

After a few delays the press is complete, to a degree! Still needs weld on tapped plates for platforms! But press itself complete! All up 600kg of flux cored wire to weld this bad boy up. That works out to roughly 1850 meters of weld!
