What does look like in action?

During 2026, our Upper South Creek Networks (USCN) Project marked the successful completion of its inaugural First Nations Business Administration Job Ready Pathway Program.

Led by CreekConnect – our joint venture partnership with Jacobs Solutions Inc. – the pilot program was designed to create meaningful pathways into infrastructure careers for First Nations people in Western Sydney.

Bringing together First Nations businesses, training providers, employment services and industry partners, the program helped participants build practical skills, confidence and connections to support their next career step.

The graduate feedback speaks for itself:
✅ 90% participant retention
✅ 100% attendance
✅ 100% met program expectations
✅ 100% felt supported
✅ 100% ready to apply for roles
✅ 90%+ reported increased confidence and job readiness

"Programs like this create real opportunities – they give us the confidence and pathway to actually step into a career." – Brayden, Graduate

A highlight of the program was a Yarning Circle facilitated by Indi Connect, which provided a culturally safe space for participants to share experiences, build trust and reflect on their journey.

Thank you to our collaborators: Skills NSW, Westbourne College (RTO), Indi Connect, Salvation Army Employment Plus Penrith, and Asuria Employment Services.

And to our USCN Delivery Partners for their commitment to connecting participants to real opportunities: Vaughan Infrastructure, Fulton Hogan, Quickway, Ferrycarrig, Eire Constructions, McConnell Dowell, and Tunnelling Solutions.

Special thanks to Kallico Catering and Custom Cakes for supporting the program and graduation event.

Participants didn’t just complete training – they leaned in and backed themselves every step of the way.

CreekConnect, part of the Upper South Creek Networks Program, was proud to support the KARI Australia Education & Employment Expo in Minto on Thursday 14 May.

The event brought together over 200 First Nations students, school leavers and community members, sharing in conversations around pathways into construction, training and future employment.

It was a great opportunity to connect with community, share what we do, and highlight the opportunities being created through the program, especially with so many young people showing interest in careers in construction.

A big thank you to the KARI team for delivering such a well-run and engaging event.

During Reconciliation Week, we’re highlighting NLA Trucking - a 100% Aboriginal and female-owned trucking business making a strong impact across Victoria.

Founded by Nicole Appleton, the business has grown from a single truck to supporting major infrastructure projects, while creating opportunities for women, Aboriginal Australians, migrants, and people rebuilding their lives.

Our partnership on the Clyde Road Upgrade since July 2024 shows the value of working with First Nations businesses to strengthen capability and representation.

A reminder that the projects we deliver can help build more inclusive and sustainable pathways for the future.

The Warragul-bound exit ramp to Clyde Road has reopened.

The ramp was closed for upgrades while we installed drainage, relocated services, built new lanes and laid asphalt.

The ramp will operate with right-turn movements only, while the left turn onto Clyde Road northbound remains closed until further works are completed on the new northbound lanes.

Drive safe, and thanks for your patience.

Our project teams have been focusing on what matters most this week. Safety.

As part of VINCI’s Safety initiatives and National Road Safety Week, teams across our projects have been reinforcing safe behaviours when working around live traffic and operating plant.

By sharing safety commitments, talking about real risks on our sites, and holding interactive safety demos, our teams are building awareness and strengthening the habits that help keep everyone safe.

Safety is a shared responsibility - especially where vehicles, plant and people interact. Staying aware, communicating clearly and taking a moment to reassess risks makes the difference.

Community connection, collaboration and inclusive design in action 🦮

The Eastern Freeway Upgrades team connected with the community alongside Guide Dogs Victoria at the Guide Dogs Australia Community Fair, sharing how we’re working together to deliver safer, more accessible journeys for everyone.

Engagements like this are an important part of listening to local voices and supporting communities as major infrastructure projects take shape.

[Retirement news] After more than 17 years with Seymour Whyte, we’re celebrating Peter 'PJ' Johnston's retirement.

As National Quality Manager, PJ has played a defining role in shaping how quality is embedded across our business. His leadership in developing the systems that support our projects today — along with the culture and discipline he championed — leaves a lasting legacy.

Above all, it’s PJ’s professionalism, integrity, and quiet influence that have made the biggest impact.

Thank you, PJ; and all the very best for the next chapter.

Wishing you all the very best for the road ahead, PJ. May it be filled with smooth sailing and well-earned adventure.

ANZAC Day is a time to pause, reflect and remember those who have served, and the lasting impact of service on individuals, families and communities.

We are mindful of our role as an employer and our commitment to supporting veterans through initiatives such as the Veteran Employment Commitment and ADF Reservist Leave.

We extend our best wishes to everyone as we commemorate ANZAC Day.
We remember those who have fallen, those who have served, those who are serving and all their families.

Lest we forget.
