And just like that… another custom tray is out the door! 🔧🙌

There’s always something happening in the workshop, and we love seeing another build come together and head off to its new home!

This one features:
- 2" pipe hurdle, Contoured to the vehicle, mesh as infill
- Steel drop sides with drop in pins at the front and over centre latches at the back
- Alloy stripping in checkerplate on the sides
- Painted in semi gloss black
- 3 x dog links
- Custom size tray
- 60ltr water tank under the tray
- Slimline flashing beacon light wired into the cabin and mounted on the front hurdle
- LED small jumbo tail lights
- Air bags fitted under the tray

A full aluminium tray that went out last week 👌 The photo's really don't do this one justice. The charcoal paint comes up so well!

This one features:
- 2" pipe hurdle, contoured, bars with mesh cutout as infill
- Painted Charcoal
- Steps at the front and back
- Aluminium toolboxes with whale tail locks
- Over centre catches
- 2" removable rear hurdle
- LED small jumbo lights
- Rewiring existing accessories plug into the tray

🔧 From the workshop to the finished setup... and what a result!

You might remember this setup from our behind-the-scenes reel last week. Well, it’s now painted, fitted to the vehicle, and we think it looks unreal! 👌

The tray itself was custom-built by our team just last week, but the box has a bit more history. We originally made this custom compressor box a few years ago, designed specifically around the customer’s compressor setup. It was built with a floor so the entire compressor system could be lifted off as one complete unit with the canopy when required.

Now it has been brought back together with a brand-new custom tray, creating a setup that is not only practical but completely tailored to the way this vehicle is going to be used.

And there’s a LOT packed into this build:

🔧 Long drop sides with alloy strips and internal tie-down points
🔧 Checkerplate floor
🔧 Over-centre catches
🔧 3" pipe hurdle, contoured to the vehicle with bars as infill
🔧 Tapered toolboxes with black Whale Tail locks and silver doors to match the canopy
🔧 60L water tank mounted under the tray
🔧 Short sides with alloy strips for when the dog box is fitted
🔧 Provisions for a motorbike box
🔧 Recessed floor rings
🔧 Custom fuel filler caps
🔧 And, of course, the custom compressor box we've been able to incorporate into the setup

This is exactly why we love custom builds. It's not just about building a tray that fits the vehicle - it's about thinking through how the customer actually uses it and finding ways to make everything work together.

A tray that’s been around the block… and is still going strong! 🔧

This is a tray we built a quite a few years ago, and after changing owners, it recently found its way back to us for a complete refurb and a few upgrades to bring it up to date.

The overhaul included:
✨ New drop sides (not pictured)
✨ Removal of the old light panel and fit up of a new one
✨ New individual LED lights with clear lenses & chrome surrounds
✨ A full repaint
✨ A tipping system added underneath the tray

We love seeing our trays still working hard years down the track - and even better, getting the opportunity to give them a whole new lease on life!
