We work closely with vessel owners and operators, ship managers, shipyards and ship repairers, and have experience working with

government departments and agencies. John Butler Design provides a broad range of services, from marine transport feasibility studies through to final ship design packages, construction supervision, production engineering support and liaison with Classification Societies. The Naval Architecture and Mechanical Design consultancy services includes condition assessments, structural analysis (FEA), detail 3D/2D design, sea keeping & stability analysis, shock analysis, along with preparation of specification and technical documentation. Our specialist team are also AMSA certified surveyors, with the ability to complete a range of survey requirements. John and his team are dedicated to maintaining high quality services to the marine industry. John Butler Design has access to the design experience and resources of contractors with a range of skills and experience, all supervised by John Butler. Between us, we have extensive skills in the areas of domestic commercial workboats and barges, cruise ships, naval vessels, luxury yachts and high speed catamarans.
