Thankyou to everyone that attended Chris's funeral yesterday. The old shop sign was brought out for a final photo in front of Don Newell Motorcycles. Thanks Ben at Nippon for digging the sign out. It was a perfect send off for a very respected and influential man. RIP Chris

With heavy heart, I wish to advise of the passing of Chris Ray on 26/01/26. He taught us all so much, including myself, working for him for 14 years. He will be deeply missed in the motorcycling community. My thoughts are with his wife Kym, family and friends.

Just a reminder that the shop and the business is now closed and the stock sold off to Luke at Britcycle who runs an on line store. I have retired. Tommy Newell is still going next door doing Motoguzzi and servicing on Royal Enfields. Phil at Nippon Performance has rented my old shop premises and I believe he is going to put in general parts and accessories for motorcycles , but it won't be British oriented . Thanks once again for patronage over the years , we loved serving you. This FB page will close soon.

It is with a very heavy heart that I have to announce the closure of B.J's Bikes and Bits after 48 years . I am 70 and need to retire. Unfortunately I was unable to sell it as a going concern but Luke from Britcycle on the gold coast has bought all the stock , so you may wish to try him in the future for your requirements. Thank you so much for all your custom over the years. yes we are all pretty sad.

We will be closed on Friday 28th from about 3 pm and saturday morning the 1st of march . Going to Stanthorpe for the Classic Bike racing . Our 650 BSA first outing and running in !

I have just heard that my old mate Peter Hatton " Pappy" has died . He was a Drag Racer and worked at Brisbane Bike Wreckers before Fred hired him to work here at B.J's which he did for 12 to 18 months, aprox 1980. He was the last of the Old style Australian Larrikins , a very colourful character. He will be missed by many.
