A NEW CHAPTER WITH WESTERN FARM MACHINERY

On 18 September 2026, Western Farm Machinery officially took ownership of Michell Machinery, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the business.

After 39 years of serving farmers across the region, Michell Machinery is now owned and operated by Western Farm Machinery, with the business continuing to support customers across the Dubbo and Walgett areas.

We look forward to continuing the relationships built over many years and providing customers with the machinery, parts and service support they know and rely on.

Thank you to our customers, staff and community for your continued support.

𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗛 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 | 𝗗𝗨𝗕𝗕𝗢 & 𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗚𝗘𝗧𝗧

Today marks the last day of trading for Michell Machinery at our Dubbo and Walgett branches as these locations transition into the Western Farm Machinery business.

As part of the transition, the Dubbo and Walgett branches will have a delayed opening time of 9am on Friday, 18 September, while our teams undertake staff training.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition and ask that you please bear with us as we work through the changes.

While this marks the end of Michell Machinery trading at these locations, it also marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the Dubbo and Walgett teams with Western Farm Machinery.

Thank you for your support.

𝗔 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗠𝗜𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗟 𝗠𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗬

After 39 years in business, we have some important news to share with our valued customers.

Michell Machinery has been acquired by Western Farm Machinery, who will officially take ownership of the business from 18 September 2026. Our last day of trading will be 17 September 2026.

While this marks the beginning of a new chapter, Western Farm Machinery will build on the strong foundations established over the past four decades and continue the business with the same commitment to quality, service and professionalism that our customers have come to expect.

Our Dubbo and Walgett branches will remain open, so the relationships and service you have come to know will continue into this next chapter.

Michell Machinery Hire will continue to operate as business as usual under the ownership of Will Michell. The hire business will relocate to the adjoining premises in the coming weeks, with operations continuing throughout the transition.

After nearly four decades, we want to take a moment to say thank you.

Many of you have been with us for years, some for generations. We have had the privilege of watching your businesses grow, getting to know your operations and families. Your trust, loyalty and ongoing support have been fundamental to the success of Michell Machinery and have made the past 39 years such a rewarding journey.

We look back with immense gratitude and wish Western Farm Machinery every success as they take the business into its next chapter.

Will, Max and Jo Michell
