When was your accelerometer last calibrated, and would the data it produced yesterday survive an audit?
Sensitivity shifts with time, temperature cycles, overloads and rough handling, and the sensor keeps producing data the whole time. Nothing looks wrong until a test result is challenged and there is no calibration record to stand behind it.
That is why accelerometer calibration was the demonstration that drew the most interest at our Internoise 2026 stand last week. A portable vibration calibrator like the CV-10 we had on the table does one job: it drives the sensor at a known vibration level and compares its output against a built-in reference transducer. You can verify sensitivity on site before a test campaign, rather than discover drift after one.
