We’re currently in the preparation and testing phase of a new wireless PA alert system for a local golf club.

The project has been designed to provide reliable, site-wide audible alerts using a private LoRa based network. Following preliminary onsite testing, LoRaWAN was selected over other wireless technologies due to its low cost, flexibility with hardware options and still has the reliability across the required distances.

The system includes:
• Solar-powered remote stations with integrated LoRa radios and high-output audible sounders
• Directional Yagi antennas for dependable course-wide communication
• A custom solution using IOT Embedded Hardware as a simple handheld controller
• Three dedicated alert states:

At this stage, all stations are being configured, programmed, and tested in our workshop prior to on-site installation. This process ensures the system is fully integrated and operational before deployment.

We recently completed a microwave link replacement for St John Ambulance, upgrading the connection between Shenton Ridge and the Bunbury Depot.

The project involved replacing existing dishes, cabling, and hardware with new Ubiquiti airMAX PowerBeam 5AC equipment at both sites. Our team carried out mast climbing works at Shenton Ridge, EWP access works in Bunbury, and completed alignment and commissioning across the link to ensure stable performance.
