Pulling back the veil a little bit here... have you ever wondered what goes into making rock solid application that people can depend upon? The answer to that is great design principals combined with attention to detail and a proactive approach to error reporting.

As much as we'd love to, we simply cannot test every phone, tablet and operating system combination available on the market. To get around this limitation - in the event of a failure, our app sends ANONYMOUS crash reports to us that help us analyse and fix errors as they pop up.

Here's one we got through this through this afternoon that we are currently investigating. Errors like this can be caused by actual coding issues, or as a result of actions taken within the app that have not completed successfully. Regardless of the fault - these error reports give us the information we need to be able to get it fixed and get a new version out to the app store quickly.

We develop and write all of our applications in-house and take feedback and reports of issues very seriously. We want you to have the best experience possible. If you're having problems with the app, or with one particular part of the app - please let us know so we can help to get it resolved.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and cracking new years! This post will almost be a second Chrissy to those who have been waiting for their boards over the last few months or even longer for our Kickstarter backers. The boards are finally here!!!

We appreciate everyone's patience over the last few months whilst we worked to make sure we weren't rushing sub-par gear out the door and that the SwitchMaster's are the best they can be. Hey all - quick update: We're rolling up our sleeves and assembling some PCBs in-house to ensure we can get our gear out ASAP with quality checked and attention to detail dialed up.

The motherboards are in the final stages of production and we're expecting them here any stage now. We're hoping to have all out by Christmas and ready to hit the new year running.

Thanks for all of your patience as we bring everything together and start getting these shipped out in the coming weeks.

We probably should of made this post last week but there was a bit happening at MLTi headquarters. Finally some good news - WE'RE FULLY IN PRODUCTION!

Boards have passed our design review checks, so board production and assembly is full steam ahead and in progress as I type this! We'd like to thank everyone that sent us some kind words or a message of support over the last couple of weeks. It's really disappointing when things don't come of exactly to plan, but it was it was a relief to know we'd made the right call in delaying to get things done right and the best they possibly can be.

First SwitchMaster's will be in our hands in the next 3 weeks or so then we'll be working around the clock to get them programmed, tested and out to everyone for their install before the Chrissy holiday trips begin!

Good news following some disappointing setbacks, but we are on the way forward now! We've been waiting on some parts from a particular manufacturer and with constant pushbacks on their expected ETAs, we decided we had to bite the bullet and go to plan B.

In our last discussion with our manufacturer, we suspected another delay was probably incoming, so got to work redesigning the boards to take other components which we are able to source immediately. Sure enough that delay came, but we were one step ahead, the reworks are now done and ready to be put into production (subject to a prototype test in the coming week or two). So ultimately – whilst we’ve lost some time, our board rework has been fruitful and we’ve gained a incidental efficiencies and improvements at the same time (win). We've also bought up big to ensure critical parts are always in stock when we need them. The steps we have taken on the board rework also ensures that we have greater flexibility in our supply and IC manufacture options, greatly limiting the impact of chip shortages going forward.

There are many factors that go into producing quality gear – good design, QUALITY components and sound engineering decisions all come into play and whilst we are absolutely heartbroken that things are running behind schedule – we are more than happy with our decision to not compromise, and produce the best gear possible. We’ll be able to rest easy knowing for absolutely certain that your SwitchMaster will not let you down.
