We're hiring a Sales Lead for APAC, based in Perth.

Thrust Maritime provides subsea solutions and builds the equipment that goes over the side of offshore vessels and into the water. AHC winches, launch and recovery systems, subsea handling gear. Our rental fleet and WA client base are already in place. We need someone on the ground in Perth who can build on that and extend our reach across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei and Thailand.

If you've got subsea, offshore / marine industry experience and want to build something rather than slot into a heavily structured sales machine, take a look and apply via Seek: https://www.seek.com.au/job/91760422

Milestone Achieved: Thrust Maritime, an Australian veteran owned company is proud to announce the successful completion of Factory Acceptance Testing of a Submarine Emergency Ventilation and Decompression System (SEVDS) LARS, certified ABS.

Thrust was engaged for design, manufacture, and commissioning of this critical LARS, which deploys a specialised umbilical. This umbilical delivers emergency ventilation and allows decompression of submariners inside a disabled submarine, which significantly improves survivability.

This innovative system forms part of a broader solution delivered by our valued client, Phoenix International Holdings, Inc., a global leader in submarine rescue. We are honoured to collaborate once again with Phoenix and contribute to a world-class capability for a major European Navy.

This project showcases Thrust Maritime’s commitment to engineering excellence, technical innovation, and ongoing contributions to the defence sector. It stands as a testament to our unique in-house capabilities and our drive to support missions that matter. The system was designed, manufactured and tested in our new world class Dandenong South, (Vic, AUS) facility.

We are proudly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible and delivering good old Aussie engineering.

🚢💪 Safety first—no matter the conditions!
Some of our expert DNV-certified welders have just completed their BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training), taking their offshore readiness to the next level.

This intense training included escaping from a submerged helicopter after being dunked and rolled upside down—preparing them for the unexpected while working in offshore environments.

With these new skills, our team is even better equipped to support the installation, maintenance and operation of offshore lifting equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency in every project.

A huge shoutout to our welders for their dedication to safety and excellence!

Teamwork, innovation, and a touch of medieval engineering!

For our Christmas Party, teams were tasked with building a trebuchet—a medieval siege engine that uses a rotating arm and sling to launch projectiles.

The goal? To hit a target while managing risk, precision, and execution—skills that align perfectly with Thrust: tackling challenging projects with smart risk management. (tip: Make sure to watch until the end to see the firing)

Added challenge - our welders were not allowed to weld, office workers and engineers had to step up to handle the welding. This unique twist pushed everyone to learn new skills and get involved.

The result? A day filled with ingenuity, collaboration, and plenty of laughs. Once tools were down, we wrapped up with great food, refreshing drinks, and well-earned celebrations.

Now, as we power through the manufacture and assembly of several LARS systems, we’re looking ahead to 2025, where we’ll deliver some truly innovative subsea projects.

Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!

❗️Subsea Engineers❗️
Looking for innovative, field-proven ways to cut costs on your projects?

Our Portable AHC Winch has become a valuable asset in various offshore operations—one example being subsea decommissioning, such as the removal of wellhead caps. By utilizing a lower-cost vessel instead of traditional construction vessels, we’ve helped clients achieve significant cost savings without compromising on safety or performance.

In the past year alone, we’ve successfully completed seven wellhead cap removals in the Bass Strait, showcasing the winch's reliability and effectiveness in challenging environments.

If you're interested in exploring how this solution can optimize your next project, let's connect to discuss further.
