Today is R U OK? Day, an important reminder that a simple conversation can make a real difference.

We don't need to be experts or have all the answers. It's about taking the time to check in with the people around us, asking "Are you OK?" and genuinely listening.

This afternoon, some of our team is taking a break for a pool competition. It's a chance to connect, have some fun, and spend time together outside the usual day-to-day.

While R U OK? Day puts a spotlight on meaningful conversations, checking in with one another shouldn't be limited to one day a year. A quick chat, a coffee, or simply asking someone how they're going can mean more than you realise.

And if you're doing it tough, remember you don't have to carry it alone. Reach out to someone you trust, whether that's a colleague, friend, family member, or support service.

We're looking forward to some healthy competition this afternoon and finally settling the debate about who really knows their way around a pool table. 🎱

Turning complex concepts into verified engineering solutions.

Thrust Maritime is proud to have completed the design and structural analysis of a tender lift for Echo Marine Group Pty Ltd's new 58m sailing catamaran yacht, ASC58, currently under construction at Echo’s full-custom superyacht construction and refit facilities in Henderson, Western Australia.

Through advanced FEA modelling, motion analysis, and detailed engineering assessments, the tender lift was validated to meet Lloyd's Register requirements and operational load cases, ensuring confidence in both safety and performance.

Designed to safely handle a 17-tonne Safe Working Load (SWL), the system accommodates a 12-tonne fully outfitted tender and a 5-tonne platform, providing a robust and certified lifting solution for demanding yacht operations.

This project highlights the value of combining practical marine engineering experience with advanced simulation and verification tools to deliver reliable lifting solutions from design through to certification.

When offshore inspection campaigns require equipment to be deployed in challenging environments, portability can make all the difference. Our ROV Launch and Recovery System (LARS) was designed specifically for use on FPSOs and fixed platforms where safe, flexible deployment is critical.

What sets this system apart is its ability to break down into portable components, allowing it to be manually relocated and assembled without the need for heavy lifting equipment. Combined with an innovative water-filled IBC counterweight, the system eliminates the need for welding or hot work while maintaining the strength and stability required for offshore operations.

βœ… Breaks down into hand portable components
βœ… Manual assembly and relocation
βœ… No welding or hot work required
βœ… Safe access for operation, maintenance, and ROV washing
βœ… DNV-ST-0378 compliant

It's a practical example of how smart engineering can improve safety, reduce operational risk, and provide greater flexibility offshore. Learn more: https://www.thrustm.com/post/innovative-rov-lars-launched

Do you really need a specialist construction vessel? Many offshore projects only require subsea lifting capability, yet operators often face the cost, delays and availability challenges of securing specialist vessels.

Our latest article explores how Thrust Maritime's Active Heave Compensation (AHC) Winch enables available PSVs, AHTS vessels and other support vessels to safely perform subsea operations, delivering:

Thrust Maritime is proud to be delivering a series of purpose-designed sea boat davits for a leading global maritime operator.

Engineered, manufactured, tested and certified in Australia, the system is designed for the launch and recovery of a fully laden sea boat up to 8.8 metres in length and weighing up to 4.6 tonnes in demanding offshore environments.

Certified by Lloyd's Register and compliant with IMO SOLAS Chapter III and the LSA Code, the davit incorporates redundant safety systems, high-speed recovery capability, and shock load alleviation technology to support reliable operations in challenging sea states.

This project reflects Thrust Maritime's growing capability to deliver complex launch and recovery systems for commercial, offshore and defence applications. Learn more: https://www.thrustm.com/post/thrust-maritime-awarded-project-to-deliver-series-of-advanced-sea-boat-davits

Subsea campaigns don't always require a dedicated construction vessel.

For operators planning inspection, maintenance, intervention, or decommissioning activities, vessel availability, mobilisation costs, and weather downtime can have a major impact on project budgets and schedules.

Thrust Maritime helps operators deploy Active Heave Compensation (AHC) capability on existing in-field vessels, enabling safe and reliable subsea operations while reducing costs, increasing flexibility, and accelerating project delivery.

From wellhead cap intervention to flowline handling, debris removal, subsea basket handling and decommissioning campaigns, our solutions help you complete critical subsea scopes with confidence.

When time is tight, local smart capability makes the difference.

Thrust Maritime recently supported a subsea well operations campaign aboard an offshore jack up rig, providing engineering design, fabrication and installation services for the integration of a Work Class ROV system and drilling support infrastructure.

The team designed and installed ROV grillages, sea-fastening solutions, an over-the-side frame for a cuttings dryer, and infrastructure supporting gravel pack operations - overcoming significant deck space and crane access constraints in a highly congested offshore environment.

Due to operational challenges, elements of the project were required to be completed in a very short timeframe. Our unique Victorian capability allowed significant rig time savings. The project highlights the value of local practical engineering, close collaboration and innovative thinking to safely deliver complex offshore operations.
