Our team designed, fabricated and assembled this conveyor table in our workshop for an insulation manufacturer.

Designed, fabricated and installed by Jones Engineering.

This flue gas stack for an industrial gas boiler was prefabricated in our Dandenong workshop before being installed at a manufacturing site by our team.

Completing the majority of fabrication off-site helped reduce on-site works, minimise disruption to the client’s operations and limit production downtime.

Yesterday, our Director, Mark Jones, spoke at SEMMA’s Educate Forum as part of the 2026 Election Forum Series.

Mark shared his industry perspective on the skilled labour shortage affecting Australian manufacturing, including the gap between apprenticeship training and workplace readiness.

He also discussed the regulatory barriers manufacturers face when developing apprentices and sponsoring skilled overseas workers to fill critical capability gaps.

Jones Engineering is proud to contribute to these important conversations and advocate for a stronger, more capable manufacturing workforce.

20 years today. 💙

Today we celebrate a pretty special milestone for Ally, who has now been part of Jones Engineering for 20 years.

Over that time, Ally has become so much more than just part of the team. She’s one of those people who quietly keeps everything moving, looks after everyone around her and somehow always knows what needs to be done before anyone else does.

It’s probably fair to say she’s the glue that holds a lot of this place together.

Twenty years is a huge commitment to any business, and we’re incredibly grateful for the loyalty, care and effort Ally has given Jones Engineering over all those years. She’s been here through plenty of changes, challenges, good times and everything in between, and has played a massive part in helping shape the business into what it is today.

Businesses are ultimately built around people, and we’ve been very lucky to have Ally as one of ours for the past two decades.

Congratulations on 20 years, Ally. Thank you for everything you’ve done, and continue to do, for Jones Engineering and everyone in it. ❤️

A unique fabrication project completed through our Dandenong workshop.

Our team fabricated this custom brass frame for the pool surrounding an outdoor sculpture. The curved profile required careful fabrication to achieve the correct shape, fit and finish while complementing the existing feature.

A great example of our ability to deliver bespoke metalwork for specialised applications.

Investing in apprentices is about more than teaching the tools of the trade. It is about giving them opportunities to think, design, problem solve and take ownership.

We recently challenged our apprentices to design an outdoor table for the team. Six apprentices put forward their own concepts, with Deegan’s design selected as the winner.

From concept to fabrication, Deegan then had the opportunity to bring her own design to life in our workshop.

A great result, but more importantly, a great example of what can happen when we give the next generation of tradespeople the opportunity to develop their skills and back their own ideas.

Well done to Deegan and all six apprentices who took on the challenge.
