Thankyou so much Sheryl!!

So I’ve been feeling a little lackluster with my riding lately (well a few years 😳) and decided that the purchase of a new bike (late last year) might inspire me to get back out on the bike a little more often... after all, I had been riding the old Trek Superfly for over ten years before my inspiration had depleted.

Fast forward a few months and the spark has been ignited but not going off like a firecracker.. until last Wednesday. What happened, I hear you ask. Well!!
Let me tell you (the pictures below are a giveaway).

Sheryl MTB Mechanic fitted my new bike with the latest and greatest SRAM XX SL EAGLE Transmission group set. Now those who know me know that I have no idea about bike tech stuff. I’m one of those who can describe a sound with great animation and voice tone while pointing in the rough vicinity that it’s coming from. Basically Sheryl tells me what I need on my bike and I just go along with her recommendations and it all works out wonderfully.

I’d heard so many great things about this new Sram Eagle XX SL Eagle Transmission… the wireless changing gears and no more gear cables. I was not worthy of such equipment, that stuff is only for the fast peeps. Fast forward to last Wednesday and a very large sexy box arrived with Sram Eagle all over it. To cut another long story short (those who were in and out of the MTB Mechanic workshop that day will
Know) the amazing Sheryl had this box of amazingness fitted to my bike in no time and all dialed in. Before long we were hitting the trails at Bayview for the maiden voyage of the new SRAM XX SL EAGLE TRANSMISSION.

Now the fire has been lit like a bonfire!! 🔥🔥🔥OMG!!! I never imagined how much of a difference an upgrade could make on my bike and how much I could love love love riding again! To be able to change gears with instant response, no chain lag and have it snap into gear effortlessly every time is a dream. My right thumb has never been less fatigued, it’s the little things 😂.

Once again it was so great to be supporting the RATS Cycling Club on Saturday for round 1 of the Summer Sprint series.

We enjoyed seeing all the old faces as well as plenty of new faces getting started in the sport we all love.

The Daisy Hill workshop is open and ready to service, upgrade, tweak and repair your ride. Call in for a ☕️ and 🐶🐶 squeeze (if you don’t love pooches so much we can pop them away)... just pm or text when you want to drop in.
