From little things, big things grow.

You may have noticed that the Maxce page and youtube channel have been quiet for most of this year. It's not from sitting idle. It's been an intentional focus on R&D over content.
Last year at LBX I had a demo of a multi-rotary setup on an IndexX doing four tumbler wraps. It was as a proof-of-concept intended to show the capabilities of simple machine automation.
One of the big challenges small manufacturing businesses face is the automation gap. The cost and technology barrier between off-the-shelf equipment and the leap to custom or specialised automated machinery needed for scaling. That's the focus for Maxce. To minimise the cost and technology barrier with simple, reliable, modular automation tools.
The IndexX was intended as the simplest off-the-shelf form of add on automation for a galvo laser, and it is. It allows small businesses to do more local manufacturing profitably instead of outsourcing.
So why the photo of a pcb?
This is the first of a number of prototype modules that just arrived back from assembly. It's a small piece of what the multi-rotary concept from last year is leading to, and marks a milestone in development progress. There is a lot of work still to go on this one, but it will be worth the wait.
