Three years ago, Samrat joined MASPRO as a machinist while studying mechanical engineering.

Today, he’s designing solutions for robotic welding projects inside the business.

What makes that progression valuable isn’t just the qualification. It’s the fact he learned engineering from the workshop floor first — working alongside machinists, welders, and production teams to understand how components actually perform in the real world.

“When the first parts came off the line from what I designed, that’s when my confidence really grew.”

At MASPRO, we believe better engineering comes from understanding the full system — not just the drawing.

Because reliability isn’t built in isolation. It’s built through experience.

Proud moment for MASPRO attending the Business NSW Western NSW Business Awards.

We’re incredibly grateful to have been nominated among so many outstanding regional businesses. Recognition like this means a lot to our team and reflects the hard work, commitment, and values that continue to drive MASPRO forward.

What makes it even more special is that MASPRO is proudly based in Condobolin, NSW. From a regional town in Western NSW, we support customers across Australia and around the world — proving that world-class engineering, manufacturing, and reliability solutions can come from regional Australia.

A big thank you to Kerrie and Denis for representing MASPRO on the night. We’re proud to have people who reflect the professionalism, integrity, and strength of our business so well.

Congratulations to all finalists and winners from the evening. The future of regional business is strong.

Supporting the future of engineering means showing up for the conversations shaping it.

Last week, Latara Ogle attended the Women in STEM Breakfast hosted by GRX, featuring Dr Catherine Ball — one of Australia’s leading voices in emerging technology, robotics, and future-focused innovation.

As both an Account Manager at MASPRO and an engineering student, Latara’s participation reflects something important: engineering leadership is not built only in workshops and on-site environments. It is also built through visibility, learning, and industry connection.

The mining and METS sectors continue to evolve rapidly, and attracting more women into engineering and technical leadership roles is critical to building stronger, more resilient industries.

At MASPRO, we believe reliability is driven by people as much as engineering capability — and supporting the next generation of engineers matters.

Meet Latara 👋

One day she's underground on a site in WA. The next, she's at her desk chasing down a part that someone, somewhere, urgently needs. As MASPRO's Account Manager for Underground, no two days look the same — and that's exactly how she likes it.

Ask Latara what her job is and she won't say "sales." She'll say it's listening. Walking the site. Understanding what's actually happening on the ground before anyone talks about a solution. Then getting the right people — engineering, operations, supply — moving in the same direction so our customers aren't waiting.

Underground doesn't forgive slow. Every hour of downtime has a cost, and that pressure is part of what drew her in. The technical complexity is the other part. "Every site is different. Every problem is different. You don't get bored."

Outside work, Latara races and builds motorbikes — same instinct, different machine. When she's not on the track, she's with her three kids or putting time into mental health initiatives in her community.

Superpower of choice? An indestructible body. (Anyone who's met her isn't surprised.)

Quality isn’t added at the end.

It’s engineered into every part, every process.

Because solving real problems demands more than just parts.

MASPRO is hiring a Director of Engineering.

We’re at a point where engineering needs to do more than deliver work.
It needs to help shape where the business goes next.

This role is about building that capability.

You’ll lead a strong team and take it to the next level — introducing the right structure, improving how work is prioritised, and making sure engineering effort is aligned to what customers actually need.

You’ll work closely with Sales, Operations, and the Executive team.

We’re looking for someone who has:
• Led engineering teams through growth or change
• Introduced structure without creating friction
• Balanced technical judgement with commercial reality

At MASPRO, we don’t treat reliability as a product feature.
We engineer it into the system.

This role is part of making that real, at scale.

Safety at MASPRO is built into how we work, not just what we say.

Today, our teams came together across all locations to mark Safety Day, reinforcing the standards and behaviours that keep people safe in our operations.

A reminder that strong operations are built on safe practices, shared responsibility, and looking out for the people around you.

Because in mining, safety is influenced not just by what people do, but by how equipment performs and how the system supports people going home safe.

When mining can’t wait, response time matters.
And the right partner is already moving.

Getting to know Denis 👋

As Components and Assembly Manager at MASPRO, Denis oversees the assembly and painting operations at our Wetherill Park workshop.

From checking component quality to working closely with the team on assembly improvements, he focuses on making sure every part leaving the workshop meets the highest standards.

One of the biggest improvements in the workshop has been developing specialised tooling, helping improve efficiency, safety and consistency in both the assembly process and the finished product.

Keeping the workshop running smoothly comes down to daily team huddles, constant communication and, in Denis’ case, plenty of old-school note-taking.

Outside of work, Denis enjoys spending time with family and friends and making Italian-style small goods. Sausages and salamis are already mastered, but smoked bacon is next on the list.

And if he could pick a superpower? X-ray vision, so he could see exactly what’s happening inside a component.
