We’re back from IODS 2026, and what a week it was! 🌊

Where do we even begin?

🤝 Tuesday started strong with meetings with both domestic and international partners and customers, and plenty of catching up with familiar faces across the show floor.

💪 Wednesday pumped up the energy with more meetings and great discussions, as well as a special visit from Quentin from LifeUnleashed by Integra Service Dogs Australia who stopped by the stand! 🐾

🏆 Thursday was a standout, with Alice taking out both the Young Innovator and Best Presenter awards at the Innovation Awards. The team kept up the pace right through to the end of the show, making the most of every minute!

🏭 Friday we wrapped up with a visit to Brooksbank Valves Australia's workshop in Carrington. As their exclusive East Coast regional representative for valve and related fluid control products for the Marine and Naval industries, it was great to see their capability firsthand.

🍽️ The week was bookended by great dinners with some fantastic company: Fairbanks Morse Defense, Truflo Marine, Marunda Private Limited, Solid Solutions Inc., JMU Defense, HII, and Saronic Technologies. Always good to connect away from the show floor!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared a meal, or took the time to connect. We’re looking forward to continuing all the great discussions in the weeks ahead!

Breaking news from IODS 2026! 🏆

Chief Fluid Systems’ Project Manager, Alice Haddon, has taken out two awards at the 2026 Indian Ocean Defence & Security (IODS) Conference and Exhibition Innovation Awards! 🎉

Alice took out the Young Innovator award for her world-first Emergency Hose Replacement Kit, a compact, deployable solution enabling crews to carry out emergency hose replacements at sea, in combat, or in remote environments where immediate support isn’t available.

She was also awarded Best Presenter after delivering two pitches to a packed crowd. A big thank you to everyone who made time to support her on the day!

We’re proud of Alice and excited to see what’s next. As she said herself: “This is just the beginning!” 👏

This Tuesday, Chief Fluid Systems welcomed Baker & Provan and Industrias Ferri S.A. to our Chipping Norton facility for a closer look at what we do ⚙️

It was great to have them out – we're proud of what we do and always love the opportunity to show people our facility, our capabilities, and the team behind it all.

We're looking forward to continuing conversations from here, and to connecting with more of the industry at IODS next week! 🤝

The countdown is on! Just 1 week until Chief Fluid Systems will be exhibiting at Indian Ocean Defence & Security 2026! 🌊

We'll have a space in the Innovation Base at stands 1F20-P1 and 1F20-P2 as a Finalist in the Innovation Awards, with Alice Haddon representing us in both the Young Innovator and Emerging Technology categories.

We're looking forward to talking all things defence capability, sovereign industry, and the partnerships that make it happen 💪

Check out these Closed-Circuit Refuelling (CCR) nozzles Chief Fluid Systems recently supplied for use in Helicopter In-Flight Refuelling (HIFR) operations 🚁

When our customer was experiencing extended lead times, inconsistent support, and unreliable performance with their existing CCR nozzles, we worked with them closely to identify a suitable alternative sourced through our trusted global supplier network.

We then supported our customer through the engineering change process, establishing a new baseline standard, with this CCR nozzle now setting the new benchmark 🏆

The journey has been amazing, frustrating, challenging, stressful and exhausting, but ultimately rewarding and fulfilling.

We’re privileged to work alongside clients who trust us to deliver safe fluid conveying solutions across mission-critical shipboard systems, fuelling systems, ultra-high-pressure systems and industrial applications.

We’ve also had the opportunity to partner with some of the world’s leading suppliers, supporting not just Australia but the broader Indo-Pacific region.

Our growth over the past 16 years has been driven by our people. We now have a team of 19 and continue to invest in apprentices, who are the future of our industry.
