A big congratulations to John, who has successfully completed his Certificate III in Business Administration! 🎉

John joined the Chief Fluid Systems team in 2025 as a Defence Administrator and he’s made an impact in both his studies and his role. He’s a key part of keeping our day-to-day operations on track.

Next up, John has decided to undertake a Diploma of Business, building on the skills he has already developed 🌱

Chief Fluid Systems invests in building talent from within, and that means real training and qualification pathways for the whole team. John’s result is down to his own hard work and commitment, and we’re proud to see him keep building on it.

We interrupt your feed for this important bear update! 🐻

We’ve received our September updates on the Chief Fluid Systems bear family and things are looking good for the Chief bear family.

Chief the Moon Bear is thriving in his new enclosure in Vietnam, which he settled into earlier this year. He’s kept himself busy bringing branches and banana leaves into his den, and apparently, he’s quite the interior decorator! He’s also been a star student in his cooperative care training sessions, showing his paws and open mouth in exchange for treats. A fair trade! 🐾

Over in Laos, José and Fitz are growing up fast. José is all about the swimming pool, climbing platforms, and snacking - honey, bananas, pineapples and yam are firm favourites. Fitz is just the same, though he seems to have developed a particular obsession with branches! 🌿

We are very proud to support Free the Bears and the incredible work they do. Chief, José, and Fitz are living proof that every contribution makes a difference.

This drain truck recently passed through our Chipping Norton facility for hydrostatic pressure testing and recertification, just one of the many applications our testing capabilities extend to beyond the defence and naval space.

With the ability to test up to 4,000 bar, our mobile setup allows us to complete thorough testing and certification either on site or at our fully equipped workshops. Whether managing a fleet or maintaining a single unit, we make it easy to keep your equipment compliant and operating safely 💪

Chief Fluid Systems is excited to share that our new dedicated research and development entity, Frontier Fluid Systems, has joined the Defence Trailblazer DINAMIC program as part of the 2026 cohort in the Entrepreneurial Foundations for Defence+ (EFD+) program! 🚀

Frontier was established to drive practical innovation, starting with the Emergency Hose Replacement Kit, and the EFD+ program is a natural next step in accelerating the path to wider adoption of the EHRK.

Representing Frontier throughout the program is Alice Haddon, Commercial Manager at Chief Fluid Systems and driving force behind Frontier Fluid Systems 💪

The EFD+ Intensive kick-off took place over 2–4 September at Adelaide University, a valuable few days of connecting with like-minded innovators and learning from industry experts. Over the coming weeks, Frontier will be deepening its capabilities with support from expert mentors and technical specialists. Watch this space! 👀

Yesterday, Richard from Life Unleashed visited our Chipping Norton workshop and spoke to some of the team about the incredible work the organisation does, training and placing service dogs with veterans and first responders living with PTSD and other conditions.

It was a great opportunity for the team to learn more about the cause and the impact these dogs have on the lives of those they support, and Quentin was extremely popular! 🌟

Chief Fluid Systems is proud to share that our Commercial Manager, Alice Haddon, has been awarded the Department of Defence Innovation, Science and Technology Excellence Impact Award at ADSTAR 2026! 🏆

One of three Department of Defence awards for Excellence presented on the night, this award recognises Alice's development of the world-first Emergency Hose Replacement Kit, a capability enabling personnel to replace failed hose assemblies in the field without returning to base or relying on specialist support. Prior to its development, no equivalent solution existed anywhere in the world. The EHRK has been widely praised by senior ADF leadership, some of whom have encountered the issue firsthand during their service.

In a proud milestone for Chief Fluid Systems, Alice also announced in her acceptance speech that the first ever EHRKs have been delivered to the Australian Defence Force. This is just the first step towards her goal to see a kit on every platform across the ADF and allied forces 🚀

Congratulations, Alice. Hard work pays off! 🎉
