⚒️ WE ARE HIRING: Shop & Yard Assistant ⚒️
✅ THE POSITION
We are looking for a reliable, energetic and well presented Shop & Yard Assistant to join our local team, with a minimum 12 month commitment. This is a varied role where you will be present in the shop and a helping hand in the yard.
✅ HOURS & FLEXIBILITY
* Flexible Schedule: We are open to discussing days and hours that work for you.
* Weekend Roster: Alternative Saturday mornings ~ 8am to 12pm.
* Work-Life Balance: We’re a local business that understands family and community commitments.
✅ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* In the Shop: Serving customers and using our store computer system to look up products, check stock levels, and process transactions.
* In the Yard: Unloading freight, organising supplies and managing yard stock.
* Stock Management: Keeping the shelves full and the yard tidy, organised, and safe.
✅ WHAT YOU NEED
* Computer Literate: You must be comfortable using a computer. You’ll need to navigate software, process orders confidently and manage our social media.
* Strong Work Ethic: You are reliable, punctual, and self motivated who takes pride in a job well done.
* Customer Skills: Friendly, helpful and enjoy communicating with customers.
* Physical Fitness: You are capable of moderate lifting (potting mix, dog food, gas bottles etc..) and comfortable working out in the yard.
* Current Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is essential.
