T28 turbo setup completed for the workshop Starlet! Mirror polished to perfection by Joel Seeto Metal Polishing 👌

Some features include 3D printed transitions for the turbine inlet and outlet, easily fits a 3.5" downpipe. The manifold was hand fabricated using random 32NB stainless elbows I had lying around the shop, and an assortment of 3D printed jigs to assist with turbo placement and elbow cutting. The wastegate has been ported to help with boost control.

For a sub $1000 setup that was thrown together over some late nights between building clients cars, it's turned out quite nice 😊

Some updates on the rotary KE70 build! The 13B is home for the final time after a heap of fab work including:

-Transmission crossmember to suit the R154
-Converted to an S1 Sequential shifter
-Custom transmission tunnel, raised and widened significantly using a Castlemaine Rod Shop kit
-Dropped crossmember, added 5mm steel gussets to engine mounts
-Welded heater hose outlets on firewall

All blended and painted to finish off, now the fun stuff can begin... intercooler, radiator and turbo manifold are up next 👌

3D printed stainless steel turbo manifold finished up for EURO2L! A very enjoyable experience to put this together and have it fit the exact same as the CAD model... not sure I'll ever make a steam pipe manifold again 😅

The 316L material also welded very nicely after trialling some new prep techniques. Up next are a stainless downpipe and recirculated wastegate section.

3D printed turbo manifold about to go together for EURO2L! I've been very excited to do a completely 3D printed manifold for some time, this was the perfect opportunity.

Some features include:
-Printed from 316 stainless steel
-1.25" runners (same as commonly used steam pipe)
-G25-G35 turbine v-band fl**ge
-40mm wastegate fl**ge
-1/4 b**g included for EGT/EMAP sensors
-EGT provisions on all runners

The collector itself will be for sale on the website after testing for any weld issues this weekend. The jig was also made using a combination of 3D printing and scanning. I tested this method on the manifold build for my personal Toyota Starlet and found it to be extremely accurate.

Some updates to our FD3S Rx-7 mid pipe jig while we have a one on the hoist, added a 3.5" cut out valve from and raised the front v-band for more ground clearance.

These are a great option for cars running high boost levels, and can be ecu controlled to open with boost, rpm or simply using a switch in the cabin. Will be added to the website as an add-on for the exhaust systems.

Our FD3S 4" downpipe and wastegate recirculation tubes are completed! Very happy with how they've turned out.

These are to suit our twin scroll manifolds and existing 3.5" mid and rear pipes. Constructed from 304 stainless steel with a 3D printed 316L merge collector for the wastegate tubes. Fits the stock Rx-7 lower intake manifold aswell as units, no modifications are needed to the standard heat shields and heater pipe also.

They will be available to purchase off the website shortly- next step is to build a unit for the current Rx-7 on the hoist to validate the jigs 👌

Jig completed for our FD3S Rx-7 4" downpipe 😊 always a fun little puzzle making these up. Alot faster now with the use of 3D printed drilling templates and pre-laser cut base plates.

I've also started making them from aluminium RHS rather than steel- lighter, easier to drill for the rivnuts, and no chance of rusting. Wastegate recirculation section is next on the jig list 👌

A big thanks to for organising Darcy to complete some work experience!

Darcy initially completed two weeks of work experience at the workshop late last year, after seeing his natural talent for fab work and great work ethic, we were happy for him to join the team on a casual basis. He's already producing some show quality tig welding and has been a massive help to the workshop 😊

Tyron's mint Astra is up from Sydney, in for a change to a Garrett G25 turbocharger 👌 We will be fabricating a custom stainless turbo manifold, exhaust system and a few more goodies in the engine bay.

Funnily enough, a couple of my previous bosses have had a hand in building the car- I served with Tyron in the Navy, who has built the car over a 20 year period. My old boss from Westside Mufflers .westside has also fabricated a fair few parts for it. Small world 😅
