Teksal Safety business development manager Adam attended Henderson Alliance’s networking event at Optus Stadium last night.

Co-presented by the Henderson Alliance and the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA), the event:

🔹 Announced the recent MOU between Henderson Alliance and the Royal Institution of Naval Architects, thanks to significant collaboration between members and partners
🔹 Highlighted opportunities for the Australian industry to contribute to a shared community and the sector’s future
🔹 Discussed concurrent initiatives, including a six-month digitisation project, mentoring programmes, and an active events tour, including 11 events hosted recently
🔹 Highlighted the return of the annual warship event to Australia after several years and anticipation for the next few days
🔹 Emphasised that the MOU is a catalyst for members working together on technical conversations, co-authoring papers, and other collaborative work
🔹 Encouraged members to tap into these possibilities to make collaborative outcomes happen

It was also another fantastic opportunity to connect with colleagues and learn more about how they're collaborating in the industry.

💡 SOLUTION SPOTLIGHT: SOFIS POWER WRENCH REDUCES MANUAL EFFORT & INJURY RISK FOR GLOBAL MINING COMPANY'S WA OPERATIONS

Teksal Safety provided a valve operation solution for a global mining company’s operations in Western Australia to reduce manual effort and injury risk.

Challenge:
As the teams operate various size wheel valves with a high number of revolutions and in various positions from knee height to above shoulder height, they needed to minimise repetitive manual effort.

Solution: Sofis Power Wrench.

Teksal Safety’s team installed drive plates on key wheel valves to enable the pneumatically driven power wrench to be used to turn the wheel valves.

While it may seem like a simple solution, it:

+ Reduced the physical effort required to operate the valves
+ Made the job easier for a diverse workforce with varying physical strength
+ Minimised the risk of injury to due to repetitive work

HE'S BA-ACK: GREG RETURNS TO TEKSAL SAFETY!

Teksal Safety is excited to welcome Greg back to the team as our business development manager, based in our Queensland office.

After spending some time travelling the world, Greg returned to Australia – and we’re pretty happy he’s returned to Teksal too!

A former sales and application engineer with our channel partner, Pilz Australia, and, more recently, a business development manager within the machine safety sector, he’ll once again be supporting our clients across Australia with machine safety solutions, training and sales.

Bringing extensive experience in machine safety and electrical controls, Greg combines strong technical knowledge with a practical, solutions-focused approach.

Well and truly settled back in, Greg says, “I’m thrilled to be back with the team. It’s almost like I never left! There’s an obvious renewed vigor in the Queensland camp, and we’ve picked up just where we left off.”

We’re excited to have Greg back on board, and look forward to the experience, energy and industry knowledge he’ll continue to bring to our clients and our team.
