We've recently become aware of a shopfront impersonating our store. We have received correspondence from several customers who have ordered from the fraudulent store and are wondering where their orders are. The fraudulent store is doing a type of scam called "phishing" where they impersonate reputable organisations in order to gain personal or finanacial data. Purchases made on the fraudulent store will not be fulfilled and your financial and personal information will be at risk.

We haven't added anything to the store recently because we've been busy with moving! We are now based in Canberra instead of Melbourne.

Happy new year from the team at Kaiju Tools!

The conclusion of 2024 means that the fundraiser for Trevor Day has now also ended. We are so pleased to announce that we sold over 300 pairs of MVA-200N Yellow Marvel pliers of which all profits will go to Lifeline as promised.

We have decided to donate the proceedings all at once when all orders have been fulfilled. This is because we have a huge amount of pliers on back-order and expect them to arrive over the next 3 or so months.

This means that we aren’t actually sure how much everything will cost due to fluctuations in the Japanese Yen and Australian Dollar and any other cost changes.

Once everything is sorted we will definitely be making a post showing the maths of it all and how we reached the final figure for transparency.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the fundraiser, whether that was making a purchase or just spreading the word.

In memory of Tradie Trev who passed away this week. We have decided to donate all profits from Yellow Marvels (MVA-200N) to Lifeline for the rest of the year.

Trevor was a huge presence in the online electrician community for Australia and NZ. He was a founding and active member of the Facebook groups "Electrician Q & A" and "Crappy electrical 3.0 lasagne edition". The former of which is a great community resource for electricians and the latter of which is a place for like minded sparkies to come together and banter.

If you were to ask yourself why yellow Marvels are so popular in Australia while they have barely taken off in the rest of the world (except Japan of course) it's because of Tradie Trev who basically single handedly popularised them. We all have a lot to thank him for and he will be dearly missed.
