Factory Hand
Battery Stop Campbellfield

We’re looking for a dependable and motivated Factory Hand/Labourer to assist our scrap battery department.

The role will need good physical fitness as you are required to lift batteries that weigh up to 30kg regularly throughout the day.

Duties
• Sorting and palletising scrap batteries for recycling
• Clean and Maintain work area and the scrap yard.
• Assist in loading and unloading of trucks
• Re-strapping pallets to make them safe for transportation

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
• Honest and reliable
• Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
• Heavy lifting is involved
• Warehouse experience preferred but not essential
• Forklift Licence preferred but not essential
• good communication skills

The position is Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm based in Campbellfield.

POSITION VACANT

We are looking for reliable and self-motivated truck drivers with a good knowledge of the Melbourne metropolitan area and excellent communication skills (verbal & written) to join our Scrap Battery

Collection company based in the Northern suburbs. Monday to Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm. Main duties will include picking up pallets of scrap batteries from our customers and delivering them back to our base.

Most pickups are loaded/unloaded by forklift however, some hand loading will be required.

Qualifications:
A current HR driver's license
Forklift license (preferred but not essential)
Work Permit (if applicable)

Attributes:
Plan travel schedules and routes

Understand and work to scheduled run sheets

Customer facing position – able to negotiate

Receive and relay information to customers and support teams

You are willing to adhere to all company and legislative compliance and procedures

You respect the vehicles you drive and maintain them to an acceptable standard of cleanliness

You work well independent of direct supervision

You are physically fit and able to manually handle single loads of approximately 25kg to 40kgs

Able to supply current references from previous employers

Duties will include:

Servicing customers throughout the greater Melbourne region

Manual handling – loading/unloading and securing of scrap batteries

Maintaining customers on the schedule run and obtaining new customers

Working safely to OHS procedures

Loading/unloading trucks using a forklift

Immediate start required. Wages negotiable to the right applicant.
