We know a lot of people are eagerly waiting for new Snap & Zap mirror applications, so we thought we’d give a bit of insight into what’s involved behind the scenes 👇

Developing a new S&Z set is a long and detailed process — it’s far more than simply copying an OE mirror.

First, we need to source genuine OE mirror sets from the various vehicle models to ensure correct fitment across the full range. With newly released vehicles such as the Super Duty this can actually be one of the hardest parts. In some cases, replacement mirrors simply aren’t available yet, meaning we need to wait until owners are willing to sell their OE sets.

From there the process includes:

✅ 3D scanning & design
✅ Prototype development & 3D printing
✅ Fitment & road testing
✅ Injection tooling production (typically 7–8 tools per mirror set)
✅ First-off sample testing
✅ Tooling revisions & refinement
✅ More fitment & road testing

This process is repeated until we are completely satisfied with the fitment, function and overall quality.

At this stage, the older generation PX Ranger / Everest / BT-50 Snap & Zap mirrors are currently targeted for launch in October.

In no particular order, we are also actively working on development for:

✅ LC200 & LC300
✅ Ford Super Duty
✅ Patrol Y62

We understand everyone wants firm timelines, however we’d rather under-promise and over-deliver than provide dates that may change during development. What we can say is that a huge amount of work is happening behind the scenes and we’re pushing as hard as possible to bring these new applications to market 👍
