Celebrating local creativity 🎨✨

As proud co-sponsors of the 2026 Local Contemporary Art Prize alongside Friends of the Regional Gallery, we’re excited to congratulate Jesk Valk on winning the People’s Choice Award.

Jesk’s stunning oil painting Jellyfish captured the hearts of gallery visitors and took out this year’s award. The spectacular detail and striking realism of the work drew admiration from visitors throughout the exhibition.

We’re proud to support local artists and initiatives that help creativity and culture thrive in our community.

We’re also proud to have supported the Queensland Air Museum with the purchase of their buggy, helping make the museum and its incredible aircraft collection more accessible for visitors to explore and enjoy.

Pip and Angela recently had the privilege of attending the Red Shield Appeal Launch Breakfast, showing their support for the incredible work of The Salvation Army and the many volunteers, Rotary members and community leaders who stand behind this important appeal.

The Red Shield Appeal continues to play a vital role in supporting people doing it tough across our community - providing practical help, dignity and hope when it’s needed most.

It was deeply moving hearing stories of resilience and strength from people who have experienced significant hardship, and are now rebuilding their lives with the support of The Salvation Army.

It was a powerful reminder of the strength of community partnerships and the difference that can be made when people come together with compassion and purpose to support those who need it most.
